  1. What a time to be a cRPG fan. Cyberpunk 2077, Call of Cthulhu, a Werewolf RPG, Pathfinder: Kingmaker, Disco Elysium, InSomnia, The Bard's Tale IV, Starfield, TES VI, Osdidian's Project Indiana, and plenty of others, like the above mentioned Greedfall. Even Assassin's Creed is turning into an RPG series.

There's so much to look forward to. Even if we just play the good ones, Starfield and TES VI will be here in no time if we get lost in those other RPGs. I love these golden age of RPG phases.

Damn, when you put it like that, now I'm pretty excited.

  2. Yeah, it was a stronger E3 than the last couple for certain. There's a few games here that have genuinely interested me and not merely in an "I'll add it to the increasingly unwieldy backburner" sort of way.

    Pretty much agree with you.

  3. It'll be hard for Sony to top Microsoft's conference. In terms of games, Microsoft came out guns a-blazing. Still, in terms of actual substance, many of those games aren't exclusive to Xbox consoles, if I'm correct. They definitely gave a great performance, which is what I want from E3, but I'm not sure if I have any intention of getting myself an Xbox. Still, E3 is about the glamor and excitement and I gotta say, it's delivering so far.

  4.

Honestly, when it comes to EA, Anthem is enough for me. I didn't expect much from EA, but with that game, I was pleased.

What do you mean 'was' it's not out yet.

I mean, I liked what I saw of it, which is more than I was expecting from a game at EA's conference.

Anyway, can't wait for the other conferences and I'm glad that Square Enix has one coming up.

For those that don't know of it yet, here's the time for Microsoft's conference:

    Microsoft -- 1 PM PT / 4 PM ET / 9 PM BST (6 AM AET on June 11)

  5. Respawn Games haven't made anything since Titanfall 2 so it kind of makes sense. I absolutely loved the SP campaign in Titanfall 2 so I am hyped already.

    Yeah, that's great.

EA at least impressed me with Anthem. Other than that, I missed most of the conference until the last part.

  6. Roughly in order.

Immersive Sims / Stealth (Deus Ex, System Shock, Dishonored, MGS)

    PC FPS (Half-life, Doom, TF2, L4D)

3D Action-Adventure Platformers (Ratchet & Clank, Spyro, Jak & Daxter, Super Mario, SotC)

Classic crpgs (FO, BG, Pillars, Kotor, The Witcher, Mass Effect)

    Rockstar openworlds (GTA, Bully, RDR)

    RTS (StarCraft, Age of Empires)

    4X (Civilization, Endless Space)

Action RPG (Diablo 2, Demon's Souls)

I tend towards traditional pc-gaming and then Sony first-party stuff. It's really more of a grab bag of variety I guess, but there is stuff I tend to avoid.

You can't go wrong with Sony.

  7. Well, I'm looking forward to Cyberpunk 2077. I'm already hyped from the few bits of information they've released before. Like the character classes. I think I'm going to pick the journalist for my first playthrough. After that maybe a rockstar. I really can't wait to play it. I've already chosen a computer to save up for, because my current one can't even handle The Witcher 3 anymore.

I'm hoping for a new announcement by Obsidian, now that Deadfire's out. It's about time.

Something about Bethesda's legendary Starfield would also be really nice. Iove TES, but I can't forgive them for getting rid of S.P.E.C.I.A.L. in Fallout 4, which I'll probably never buy, but I'd love to have a new open world RPG by them. And I need more sci-fi RPGs that aren't postapocalyptic, anyway.

Also, Brian Fargo mentioned something cryptic about a sequel to or remake of Starflight, which isn't done by InXile, many months ago. I'd love to know more about that, though it's very unlikely that it'll be there.

Apart from that, I'm open for awesome surprises. Especially when it comes to RPGs.

I suspect that Obsidian will announce something around this time regarding that other project of their's, but we'll see.
