  1. Apologies for terrible formatting on my previous post. First sentence was directed toward the latter issue. Second sentence, the former. There is a loading screen that tells the player to check rooftops. There is (was?) a tutorial re: camera stuff. FWIW, I've only ever had problems with one wall getting "stuck" if my party is too close (the one to the left of the harem of ardent dreams)
  2. IIRC there's a loading screen tip. Re: the camera rotation mechanic, at one point there was a tutorial that popped up when the player first entered the area. Not sure if that was ditched in the final release, but I do recall seeing it a few times in the beta.
  3. Watched Don't Look Up again. Glutton for punishment, I guess.
  4. FWIW, I have never run into this problem. Not sure if this is a function of skipping days vs not skipping day (?)
  5. It's been so long since I read the book that I can't remember whether that was an oversight of the source material or the director's discretion.
  6. Ran into an issue where my party was immune to nobility domain buffs in the last couple of chapters. YRMV, but something to keep in mind.
  7. If you liked The Big Short you might love Don't Look Up
  8. The Tragedy of Macbeth was well done but not amazing. Licorice Pizza was good, but a lot longer than it needed to be.
  9. Thought about using Sandler/PDL as a reference, but it decided that it was more of a conventional film and didn't want to be accused of pulling a bait and switch if Stranger Than Fiction ended up being too weird for you. If PDL is more your speed, then the Will Ferrell movie you should try is Everything Must Go
  10. I have tickets to see Macbeth and Licorice Pizza on Saturday, so I reserve the right to change my answer. As of right now, I think my favorite was The Green Knight
  11. Did you see Stranger Than Fiction? It would be unfair to call it anything other than an odd movie, but it is a departure from his usual shtick Think Jim Carrey vs Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind and you get the idea.
  12. Girlfriend and I have lost 3. One of them was 65+ but the other two were relatively young and healthy. Sadly, all were firmly anti-vax My son got covid last year about this time. Luckily he recovered after about a week with no sign of "long-hauler", but he's in his early 20's
  13. There's apparently been some sort of full-circle that started with Guy Ritchie making films with Jason Statham and ended with Guy Ritchie making "Jason Statham" films. Did Transporter stop returning his calls?
  14. What the hell is going on with Guy Ritchie?
  15. Different people want different things from their leaders because they view "strength" and "leadership" in different ways. If you belong to a tribe that values assertiveness, then changing a stance based on new information is viewed as weakness. Another tribe values correctness and sees steadfast refusal to change as buffoonery. What's disheartening to me is how much of this we're learning is biological
  16. I thought it odd that they introduced the mystery only to leave it unsolved until I came across a discord message indicating that there was more to do in act V. While not the exact same thing, I think it's somewhat similar to one of the secret endings, for which one of the prerequisites can only be discovered by data mining or following a guide (which data mined for you). There's a lot of this game that the casual player is probably never going to come into contact with.
  17. You only need the scabbard, which I think was present through most of the beta (I recall being able to ask both parties about it and getting shut down). My first encounter with that dialog was before the patch that fixed the sword. Sorry EDIT To clarify
  18. Beta only went up to act IV and this reveal is only available after things settle down in act V. I suspect that you're right; the lengths one has to go to in order to get this dialog are fairly extreme. I can't speak to the motivations, but at the same time, I think the fact it's there says something also. Maybe I'm being too generous.
  19. I suspected that's what you meant. In which case I refer back to my original spoiler: it's buried
  20. Not gonna lie, my initial knee-jerk reaction was "why?", but a split second later it occurred to me that it's definitely fitting with the major theme of the story and I was able to move on. As for how it's categorized, that also seemed sound to me, but I think that some people were going to be upset no matter how they portrayed it.
  21. Without context, I don't know that I can comment further. What felt like an obvious takeaway, to me, was that Was that not it?
  22. I haven't played the pnp version, but I want to say that I think I know what you're talking about. If I'm correct, the answer is If they do all of that, then the topic is up for a very brief discussion before never, ever coming up again.
