  3. Maybe because it's an animated gif. No, I mean the one with the eyeball. Whoops! Fixed! Thanks for pointing that out!

  6. Hi MrSamsa! Sorry, that's on me. I got hit with a veritable boatload of other work over the last week or so that made me unable to address our support tickets - but I'm going through them now!
  7. Hi everyone! Thanks to Boffmoffet for pointing out this thread to me - we're aware of the misunderstanding that occurred as a result of the Fig page's wording. We did not at all mean for this to happen or to mislead our most ardent fans. By way of a short explanation, physical discs were a nightmare during and after POE1's crowdfunding campaign. We were forced to split the shipments due to the delay in manufacturing required to put some version of 1.0 onto the discs, and then keeping that platform updated separately took down some of our key peoples from working on the game and making it b
  8. Hi all! Sorry for the lack of replies - got a bit overwhelmed with everything that's going on but I've gotten a few friends to help me out and make sure we get to everyone's tickets asap. We'll be working through the backlog and make sure the tickets are resolved over the next few days, so bear with us! I've updated the support page with the latest news as well. Thanks again for sticking around with us and for your patience. It's been a bit of a road to get here, but I'm glad people are getting their rewards and will make sure those who didn't (or got broken items) are covered.
  9. Okay, Andrea, but it's only because I like you and not because that was a great idea that I should have totally done to begin with.
  10. Greetings, Watchers, We hope you've been enjoying all the soft balls we've used to ease you into Pillars of Eternity II: Deadfire's combat until now, but the baby gloves are coming off. This month, we're releasing the Abydon and Skaen challenges in Patch 2.1, a Mega Boss for those who adhere to the "get good" philosophy, and an entire DLC focused around proving your worth through glorious combat. Prepare yourselves, Watchers - none of this is for the unworthy. Seeker, Slayer, Survivor Far from the bustling trade lanes of the Deadfire Archipelego, the most ambitious warriors of Eora
  11. Hey Cynrical! Please reach out to us at support@obsidian.net and I'll get you settled! Cryocore, that's an awesome and obviously lovingly curated collection - people at the office have some crazy collections too, but yours is definitely up there. Thanks for sharing, and I'm making sure you're getting sorted.
  12. Hi everyone! I've been responding to these as they fall into my lap in the support queue, but yes, these are duties and fees related to imports. We tried to mitigate this somewhat by moving keeping our distribution warehouses in areas with the highest number of backers (also why I've been adamant about finding another distributor in the EU after the first one fell through), but the shipping fees we charged could not have any customs or duties included in our quoted shipping costs due to the complexity of each country's laws relating to customs fees. I wish we could have factored these into the
  13. Hi all, just wanted to let you know that I updated the support page with some news - we paid the deposit for EU and the rest of the world's delivery today and have been told that it's moving along - I'll update the page again on Wednesday with any new news on that front. In terms of broken goods, it seems that it's by and large the statues that are having problems - I'm talking to our distributors, who are looking into making sure the packaging both inside and outside the current box that it shipped in. Still, feel free to reach out to us at support@obsidian.net with any damaged goods and
  14. Hi all, I updated the support page with some more news (yay, our distribution house in the EU is confirmed and everything is moving along), but I wanted to jump in here real quick before I head out for the day. Physical Editions without CD's: We never intended to deceive or misdirect with the physical editions of the box. As hard as it might be to believe, there was once a time when we thought we would be getting our backers all of their rewards on-time, and that timing informed quite a lot of the decisions made for backer rewards. Before the Manufacturing and Shipping Kerfuffle of
  15. Good evening, everyone! It's an incredible relief to hear some backers have finally received their goods - so far, I'm counting some 1300 orders as having been shipped. In the meantime, there are only a few minor details that need to get ironed out regarding EU/Rest of World contract and will update the support page again, hopefully Wednesday, with good news. Hi John! Please reach out to us at support@obsidian.net if any of your items were damaged! I'd be happy to reach out to our distributors and make sure you get proper rewards, especially if they were damaged in-transit. I
  16. Hi Townsend! Thanks for your question - we meant more for statuses on our backer portal as opposed to actual shipment confirmations and tracking info, which you will receive through email from our distribution center. And as Achilles said, we're using a different vendor than we did before, which means we had to change a lot of the code on the backend to support their systems and processes.
  17. Hello everyone! I've updated the support page with our current status! Hi Cryocore - understand your frustrations as a backer completely and we should have been engaging with and communicating updates to our backers much earlier than this. While we're currently focusing on getting rewards to backers as soon as possible given recent events, we will be discussing ways we could thank the patience of our backers in a more meaningful way in the future. And not to worry about the Guidebook Vol. 2! Our warehouses (both of them) have confirmed receipt of the books - apologies for missing
  18. Hi Townsend - thanks for asking. Manufacturing started much later than we expected through some miscommunication about contracts, which then lead to customs problems that we solved by just hiring an outside contractor to do (and more contracts). When the items were finally delivered to the warehouses, one of the key members of the team that manages the backer data had a personal emergency that disabled us from sending our data to the distributors, which then lead to delays in us being able to pay them an advance that would finally let them ship your rewards (the Ohio distributor). I know
  19. Hi all - yes, you're right, the wording on the FAQ was unclear and I'm sorry for any confusion it may have caused. We'd meant to say that our distributors would be getting weekly updates in the form of backer data for any backers who had not filled out their information to make sure we weren't putting a cutoff for backers who might not have filled out their information. I've edited the wording to reflect that. That being said, however, weekly updates are a great idea, and we're going to implement them in our support page here. We had originally planned to send out updates when we had hard
  20. Hello, backers! Incredibly sorry for the delay in goods and the lack of communication on our end - I've written a formal announcement post here about the current state of affairs and will be updating this page weekly to make sure you guys are all in the loop. It's been a rough ride and I can't thank you all enough for the support you've given to Deadfire and for your patience.
  21. Hi everyone - I'm making my rounds around the forums to make sure I hit as many people as possible - I wrote a formal announcement here about the state of the rewards and the reason for the lack of communication (we really wanted to have stuff to communicate first), but I'll be personally updating this thread weekly to make sure you guys are all up to date on what's going on in physical rewards land. Whatever the reason, we shouldn't have gone so long without communicating with our backers and we won't do it again.
  22. Hi all, Just jumping in here - I wrote a post here to provide everyone with an update, and I'm sorry that it got to this point. We were trying to hold off on an update until we had more concrete dates (and vendors) to update everyone about, but we see now that it would have been better just to update everyone regardless. Updates will be coming regularly now, as they should have been from the beginning, and we'll keep you guys in the loop about the current situation and what we're trying to do to solve any problems going forward. You've all been patient beyond all measure throughout thi
  23. In our published updates, you may have read our attempts to update all of you on the shipping of physical backer rewards and we've used the word "soon" and others like it, but "soon" has come and gone. For this, we sincerely apologize to all of you - without your interest and faith in us, Deadfire could never have become what it is today and you deserve better from us. We wanted to have firmer dates to communicate with you before our last update, but we realize now that the lack of communication was worse than the lack of firm dates. With that, we need and must do a better job updating all of
  24. Yes it is! In addition to Spiritual Weapon and Incarnate, he's also getting the Call of Rymrgand and the Symbol of Rymrgand as spells unique to him!
  25. Greetings, Watchers! Welcome back to another Backer Update. This week, we're proud to show off some of the cool things to come in our first major DLC, "The Beast of Winter", a new vendor that will be available in Patch 1.2.2, and the upcoming changes that are on their way in Patch 2.0! The Beast of Winter In case you missed last week's Obsidian Stream with Narrative Designer Alex Scokel, he provided quite a few insights for any budding narrative designers looking to join the industry. In addition to Alex's exuberant persona, the stream also included our very first sneak peek into th
