Kill them all and let the gods sort...
Ok, they might have a problem with the broken Wheel.
Party in the afterlife! Everyone's invited, the theme is "Hotel California".
'Relax' said the night man,
'We are programmed to receive.
You can check out any time you like,
But you can never leave!'

And I won’t be surprised at all if it’s much better loved 5-10 years from now than it is today.
This be truth. This is destined. I don't know about bad sales, but I know quality. This game has it. It will have a glorious legacy. Hallelujah!
Oh man, I'm going to have to keep my mods updated for years? I never signed up for that!

Also, they spend a lot of days alone together at sea. And my watcher is pretty hot.
Several crew members will agree with that.
Heck yeah. All our Watchers should get a version of this:

Did you get his +2 approval conversation? That's the one where you can (possibly, with the right choices) initiate the romance. There is a bug which prevents that conversation from triggering for some folks, though.
-
The interaction is definitely there in the files, but whether it triggers in the game... maybe yes, maybe no, apparently. I haven't tried it.
-
Yup. Just take the ship and go. Stealing from thieves is always satisfying.

There are item description entries for various grimoires in the game files, but clicking on a grimoire in the game only brings up its spell list. Is there no in-game way for players to see these descriptions?

Reminds me of the Star Trek episode "Charlie X", where the havoc-wreaking demi-god's "parents" show up at the end and take him away while apologizing for his bad behavior. That would be amazing.
Edit: And also "The Squire of Gothos," though he's a more silly and less havoc-wreaking version.

Considering some endings, I imagine Eora is doomed. The factions would rather fight among themselves or abandon the Deadfire than work together.
Oh, Eora is definitely doomed. I hear they've already decided on the title of the third game - Pillars of Eternity: Grab What You Can and Get Out.

Obsidian decided to possibly to let them go their own way once/if they start part 3- there won't end up in a mess to include certain characters and relationship differences.
Which it makes it very interesting to look at which companions Obsidian does allow to (potentially) hang around - Edér and Aloth. Plus, hey, who knows what the sidekicks get up to when the game's over.
-
And on the other side of the coin, there are folks who like Aloth and his romance track. It's very quiet and understated, not surprisingly, though the kickoff is a bit more dramatic if you go the negative relationship route (yes, Aloth does have a rivalmance option).

I can't imagine a Death Godlike growing up kind and loving haha.
I made a death godlike who was not only 100% benevolent, but a Bleak Walker (it all tied into her background as a slave). Obviously I'm not above mechanically crippling my characters for RP purposes

Benevolent Death-Godlike 0_o?
What's so surprising about that?

My favorite roleplaying Watcher was an Island Amaua chanter from the Deadfire with the raider background. Shady as all get out, always had a wisecrack ready, but determined to look out for the little guy. It worked out very well - lots of reactivity and the interactions with the Queen and Tekehu took on a lot more weight.

IIRC, there's an exit in the caves beneath the fort, near the pool where you can swim in from the outside.

If you want maximum drama, bring them both along during SSS, let them develop their relationship... then "sacrifice" Konstanten at the end.
-
It's not surprising that Eothas is no better than the Engwithan souls he's made out of. When you accuse Galawain of being a jerk in SSS, his response is basically, "Of course I am, because you are. Duh." And when you give kith a bunch of power and set them above consequences... well...

Hmm. Most of my mods don't fall under the first three categories, so I guess they're in category 4, "Nothing interesting".
-
Ah, so posting to Steam means having to split up one Nexus mod into multiple bite-sized Steam mods. That'll take some working out.
-
... I can put my mods on Steam??
Sorry, Guild Wars. I now have other plans this weekend.

The dragon hints that her kin were enlisted by the gods to serve their will, which I thought meant the dragon we found under the Water Shapers guild, but there's no mention of him?
She's talking about the three dragon champions of Ukaizo who were merged into the mecha-guardian by the Engwithans.
The story only makes Eothas seem like an even bigger dimwit than he has so far. I'm still utterly lost over why he marched the Raedcerans on a crusade when he was supposedly trying to make people see the gods for what they are. More than that, why he marched Waidwyn into the Godhammer, or what that was supposed to accomplish.
I've come to the conclusion that Eothas just isn't very good at planning, strategy or forethought in general.

Well, my first Watcher wanted justice for Eothas's victims and to stop the breaking of the Wheel. Then I had to adjust the expectations of my Watchers on subsequent playthroughs, because disappointment and failure aren't much fun. Now my characters' goals are along the lines of "stay alive" and "maybe help some folks."
