Hmm. Now I'll have to try a play through without spellcasters, just to see how the enemy AI responds. Maybe it will be more balanced ??
I disagree with you (imagine that), there are quite a few memorable and challenging battles in that one game then all the NWN, NWN2, IWD2, KoToR games put together.
I have to disagree with that. In NWN2 there are plenty of tough battles, but only if you put in the Tony K's AI mod.
Of course it does make it a tad easier if you are playing characters with high damaging area effect spells. BOOM! Those wizard battles with Qara's former classmates were over after 2 rounds when you can cast multiple fireballs, scintillating spheres, and call lightnings.

Its the same government, just because its players are different doesn't mean the game has changed. Tibet is another reason to sever ties with China and stop supporting their action. Also, another would be their support of the military junta in Burma. Until China's government gives its people personal freedom and civil liberties we should have nothing to do with them. To do so is only reward their government for oppressing its people.
-
The Chinese government has a near 80% approval rating in the Chinese population. What percentage does the American government have? The support for the Chinese government from the Chinese people is at all time high right now. Sure, there are things that could use improving but what some people don't seem to understand is that boycotting Olympics (which only means boycotting China in the Chinese people's mind) or advocating any sort of political agenda through the Olympics (which only means humiliation to China in the Chinese people's mind) only serves to rally the Chinese people together for their support for the government. Whatever the human rights groups are doing thinking that they are weakening the Chinese government's reign over its people only serves to strengthen it.
I think an American broadcaster summed it up pretty well. The Chinese people value independence over human rights. Until the human rights groups realize this, their efforts are futile.
I guess the Chinese people forgot about how their government massacred hundreds of people at Tiananmen Square. I won't nor will I ever forgive.
-
No. Treating another people like crap and oppressing personal freedoms. Sheesh, are you guys really that thick?
-
Like we did with the 1936 Olympics?
Like we did in 1980. What China is doing to its people, to the people of Tibet, and to the people of Burma is on par what the Soviets did in Afghanistan.

I began the day with a beer and a home-made all beef burger with fresh juicy tomatoes and dijonaisse sauce. I am become a God.
Well, you should be safe from Gozer then.

Bokishi, how could you do that to a poor GM!

I had a dream one time that Nene of the Bubblegum Crisis was fighting Keven Costner's Robin Hood, with a nest of tentacles taking on the winner.

Even the free ones?
The only free ones, meaning no monthly fee, is Guild Wars.
I have seen ads for things like Maple Story but they look more like graphical MUDS than real MMOs in the traditional sense. I am just not an online gamer.
When I game, I game alone.

As far as I am concerned this is just a public relations farce. China has the worse record on human rights and having it in China like this and giving all this attention is telling them that it is okay for them to kill and oppress.
Except China isn't one guy who we can put on trial. China is a country of billions and is made up of 20 something ethnic groups. The olympics aren't just for the government, they are also for the billions of people that live in China. This is something that the entire nation can be proud of.
If you say so, but due to the past actions of their government we should have boycotted the Olympics.

EH, Brdavs? Human is human. Everything else is irrelevant details.

As long as people keep repeating that Obsidian should stick with 'what they know' a billion times or MMOs suck, I'll return the favor.
Well, MMOs do suck. All of them. The KotOR MMO might not suck, but I doubt it.

For the most part I find analyzing dreams is a tad bit silly.
I had this one dream in which everyone in the world looked like me, and I was hunting them down with a watergun supersoaker with a 2km range.
-
I had a dream that starred Alvin and the Chipmonks as adventurers. It ended badly. Simon, the wizard, and Theodore, the Cleric, were trapped in a room filling up with sand with Alvin being bloodsucked by Dave doing his best Strahd impression.

Is this a common problem? Do lifers in prison routinely kill guards and other inmates?
I don't know how common it is but it has happen in the past.

Gigahound, I have yet played a MMO that I have truly liked. I have played Ultima Online, Anarchy Online, Star Wars Galaxies, Everquest 1, WoW, Eve Online, Guild Wars, DDO, Tabula Rasa, and a slew of others.
Not a single one of them are worth my time. I play games for the story, for character development (both story and game mechanics), and for the challenge. There has yet been a MMO that has kept me playing more than an hour. I doubt there ever will. That is because, in my ever so humble opinion which matters most to me, they all suck.

Nice counter argument, Xard. I compliment you!

Burn in hell? Don't tell me you actually believe such nonsense exists?
I do think that Guard Dog has a good idea. It would be a good compromise for those who want the death penalty and those who don't.
-
Really?
If you have tribes who need a single resource to survive, they will fight and kill each other so the stronger tribe can survive.

He escaped from his cage while I was visiting family one night and got a little too personal with my goldfish.

Xard, we are humans. Killing is what we do. Something cannot be "inhumane" when it is core fundamental truth of the human beast. Murder is the act of an unlawful killing of another individual. A person who comments murder has no respect for the laws that bind our society. The laws that keep us from tearing each other's throats out. Those who have absolute no respect of the law to the point that they are capable of murder are irredeemable.
Also it is not just money, but the overall use of resources. Those resources that keeps a murderer sustained could be used to maintain the health and well-being of a worthwhile individual. By conserving resources for those who deserve and need them, and denying them to those who are irredeemable is the most effective way to maintain a lawful society. There are "philosophers" and religious mumbo-jumbo that thinks that humans are above this but we aren't. We kill, we sleep, we procreate, and we defecate. Everything else is just details.
-
That's not true, it saves a few bucks!
That is right.
it is far more cost effective to use a bullet than clothe and feed a irredeemable murderer for 30 to 60 years.
China did it

I remember those as well and I blame Nixon, and the Republicans for that mess. They were in power, they are responsible.
