  1. Then this build is not for you, this is a more tankish oriented build, not damage. I'd say you should rather focus on summoned weapons wizard... For example the Conceilhaut staff does corrode damage. Choose it for spell mastery, and you will have it every encounter. Also focus on self buffs, wizard has some of the most potent ones.
  2. That statement is so broad it would apply to hundreds of historical figures throughout time. Hitler and Bismark are different. Do your homework. If you have any questions concerning these two, I will happily answer you as good as I can.
  3. Yeah, like Hitler got Sudetenland through diplomacy right? right? xDI was about Bismark. If you want to join the conversation, please stay in contextIts completely same example, don't be so touchy when someone mention Hitler, its a past, I think no-one in Europe holds grudge about it anymore (well maybe poles) Bismarck was in the 60s early 70s of the 19th century, Hitler in the 30s and 40s of the 20th. Between them many political changes and a lost world war. How is that the same example?
  4. Yes, they are the only ones. But I think there are enough good pikes... Early and mid game you got Jena's lance, then mid and late game tall grass. You don't need more than that For SB weapons, the scepter also binds to Druids, and there are a few melee weapons that bind to all classes. Other than that I'm not sure... Never "wasted" SBs on Hiravaias since he has spiritshift EDIT: the following weapons bind with Druids: EDIT 2: Those weapons who unlock Druid specific powers have been modified Unlaboured blade Grey sleeper Gyrd Hawenes... (20% chance to cast restore spiritshift on hit or crit) Steadfast (20% chance to cast restore major endurance when hit by a crit) Greenstone (3% (is that right?) chance to cast conjure lesser blight on hit or crit) Abydon's Hammer

  6. If you have a place elf anyway, why not transfer the whole concept to freeze/fire/both spells to make use of the racial abilities? It would also enable you to choose your weapon more freely... Right now, Wodewys is an important part of the build.
  7. Great work, as always. My desktop background cones from you
  8. I do know that all. Nethertheless, you must acknowledge that he also united parts of Germany by negotiation, not conquest.
  9. To be honest, I'd rather have a spell casting spirit shifting druid hunt down that giant dragon than some guy with his pet....
  10. I do not consider Denmark and Austria parts of Germany.
  11. I don't think you can change the nature of humans that fast. What you consider countries today was often no more than warring sates, realms, counties, principalities etc. centuries ago. The way they got united and became peaceful was through war, excessive brutality, butchery, famine and generally breaking the spirit of people until they accepted the new status quo. France, Germany are Italy are relatively young countries which was united at gunpoint by visionary conquerors. Replacing guns with contracts and trade agreements means it takes a lot longer to break down peoples spirits and make them malleable for the idea of abandoning the old and familiar. No, I don't believe you are going to make people in general (there will always be exceptions) "like" the idea of bowing to new overlords in Bruxelles at the cost of the illusionary self determination they think they've got. You want to win the battle against independence movements, you need centralised control of the media and press and preach the message 24/7. Not a betting person, which is just as well, or I would probably have placed money on the outcome will be the result some day in the EU. OBJEKTION: Bismark united germany through diplomatic negotiation. And then we got in a war with france... But Germany itself was untied through negotiation. And yes, if the public opposes the isea of an USE, then it needs to wait. Maybe it will never happen. I still belive it would be a good thing if, and I have spend lost of posts on explayning why
  12. Isn't a halberd just a specific type of pike? I think so....
  13. But wouldn't the better solution be to get people more involved in the first place rather than creating heavy opposition only based on that feeling of alienation (rather than actual facts) you described afterwards?
  14. found some pikes to showcase what I mean... You see how some of them are clearly aimed at pulling someone down. And Slacker... still thik pillars pikes are too soldierlike?
  15. Dogmatic thinking is very dangerous indeed....
  16. You are of course right... But most military pikes (and do correct me if I am wrong) were designed to pull down knights from horses, so they looked very different. I don't think that is the kind of pike pillars tries to recreate
  17. Nope, I'd say it's totally legit It's an painting from medival germany. It shows the work of the peasants who needed to accompany the nobles during their hunts. They were armed with spears, as you can see. And you know... for a small boar, a spear might be enough. For a big monster, you need to get something bigger... a pike But serioulsy: he pike in my opinion suits the genral theme both in lore and optics as well as having reach.
  18. I think the greenstone staff still is a good fit... no greater affection towards nature than binding your soul Until you get it maybe a pike would fit the hunters theme? A spear is a classical hunting weapon, and the pike has reach. Don't worry about weapon focus, if I am not mistaken soulbound weapons are considered universal, which means they profit from every weapon focus. As are summoned weapons btw If you want to remain with the whole spear theme I'd probably say remain with pike and aim for the tall grass
  19. He was always a more special kid. Always fascinated with nature, his parents thought. But it was more than fascination. He shared a true link with nature. He was born in naasitaq, part of the deadfirre archipelago. He has no memores of that place. When he was very young, monsters came to his village. They killed, amongt many others, his father, but his mother, a capable fighter and owner of a small boat, managed to escape the massacre. She took him with her. They fled on the mother's boat into the open sea. It didn't matter where, just away. Far, far away. It wasn't until hours later the mother realised she had lost any sense of orientation. For days, the two were floating arund on the vast, empty ocean, waiting for the growing hunger to eat them. When starvation seemed inevitable, the two were picked up by a valian merchants ship... The mother, a capale captain herself, quickly found her place in the crew, and by the time the ship reached old valia, she had a secure position in the crew already. In the followig years, the mother spend the great majority of her days on sea. Not so the boy. His affliction with nature had almost grown intoo madness, and it did not take long until he got in touch with druid circles. He learned many great things there. Amongst the most amazing things was, at least according to his mother, his ability to transform into a fully grown bear. Being thaught to hate monsters by his mother, he soon focused on spells and skills that would help him pursuit the life of a monster hunter. When he felt ready, he rattled up a team and proclaimed everywhere he and his team would take on a kraken, one of valias last great monsters. They prepared for months, they tracked down the monster for weeks. And when the finally thought they would have caught it, when everybody started smashng ther spears against their shields, they found the kraken, lying dead on the beach. The kraken died of natural causes, and the months and months of preparation were seemingly lost. He decided there was no honour left for him in valia after the great embarrasment that his krakenhunt was. So he joined his mother on her next trip, and so he reached the valian republics. He wanered around for a while, earning his living by killing a ghul here, a pack of wichts there... But he still believed he could do greater things. He wanted to kill Dragons. Krakens. The last caravan he joined was one headed for dyrwood... perhaps a grand adventure lied there, waiting to be uncovered. SIDE NOTE: I tried to fit it to the multiple choic options with calisca. Go for Hunter -> Monsters -> died of natural causes and Hadn't thaught about it->some adventure, really
  20. Just read it now... A dwarven druid with boar as spiritshift? Sounds intersting Any further ideas? Male or female? Background? Culture?
  21. Look Chippy, I see your points. But I think that the EU, although by no means perfect and definitley full of flaws, it is better compared to having no EU. Same goes for Hillary (only I don't find her good at all... Just better.... I would have liked Sanders). But I respect your opinion, I just don't agree with it.
  22. Keeping together different cultures through an single nation where everyone gets the same rights rather than through oppression through imperialism has never been attempted before on this scale, at least not to my knowledge. We do not know what will happen, nobody can tell. But the EU as it is now tries to be a country without being a country. Why not go that last step? Most of the recent crisis in the EU would have easily been solvable or wouldn't have occurred in the first place if the EU would have been a single nation at the time.
  23. How on earth would spain maintain economic stability without the EU? And what reason does france have to leave the EU? They are one of the EUs core members
