I have been corrected - Gender != Sex (apparently)They are trying to say sex is a spectrum now too. I just think it's kind of odd for sex or gender to considered a spectrum when 99.7% of people are part of the classical binary. Usually you would consider the other 0.3% an aberration no? Well, it used to be a philosophical debate (regarding gender). To quote from Simone de Beauvoir, whom I think is safe to say is one the most important feminist figures, "one is not born a woman, one becomes a woman", the implication of course being that what we understand as "femininity" is only a social role rather than an "actual" way of behaviour. Though I like another quote from her that I think some feminists should think about more frequently: "To emancipate woman is to refuse to confine her to the relations she bears to man, not to deny them to her; let her have her independent existence and she will continue nonetheless to exist for him also: mutually recognising each other as subject, each will yet remain for the other an other. The reciprocity of their relations will not do away with the miracles – desire, possession, love, dream, adventure – worked by the division of human beings into two separate categories; and the words that move us – giving, conquering, uniting – will not lose their meaning."

For the German ones amongst us: http://www.tagesschau.de/ausland/merkel-kommentar-103.htm Summary: Chancellor Angela Merkel recently visited Saudi Arabia, a country, just to remind you, which is a theocratic monarchy with complete disrespect for any form of human rights. Now here is an article from a German news outlet trying to justify it anyway. They do this by pointing to an ambitious reform program. Saudi Arabia is currently undergoing strong changes. This is, as mentioned, due to their big reform program, "Vision 2030", which is essentially one big effort to make the Saudi economy away from its dependency on oil (right now, oil trade makes up 47% of GDP, they want to reach 11% by 2030). http://vision2030.gov.sa/en That's the government website up there. The reforms are necessary. 2/3 of the country's people are under 30, and youth unemployment is already at 30%. The ambitiousness of the plan also requires for the country to see much more women taking on jobs than right now. Wether this can shift the social situation is to be seen. Especially considering all of the discussion surrounding Islam and in light of this reform program, I think it is worth discussing Saudi Arabia. Now, especially since Saudi Arabia commits some of the worst human rights abuses, it is important that we stay reasonable. We must condemn such practices, but we should also attempt at keeping the discussion above means of black and white and judge these new policies within context.

Oh come on, he is a populist indeed who most probably lies in bed with the very people he promised to fight; why would anyone take him seriously?

And how would you know? You stopped listening after 7 minutes because you are so triggered you even cannot listed to someone else point of view.I can listen to other people's points of view, but a bad point is a bad point no matter how much you dress it and that is why I stopped watching. I wasn't 'triggered', I was simply not interested.Care to name the bad point? The first video uses a common fantasy scenario as a basis to define what kind of man *women*, in a generalized fashion, are attracted to. This is incorrect firstly for the way it is construed into a sweeping statement, but on the other hand for not identifying the gulf between sexual fantasy and a desired partner. The second, up to what I've seen, uses a hypothetical example to then make another sweeping statement which states that "any woman over thirty knows sexism in their line of work to be bull****", when that is most certainly not true - I have heard myself from several women the complications they have faced upon acquiring jobs in their respective industries and the kind of dispositions and comments they've had to hear at work, many of them well over the age he's indicating. And remarks of this sort which he makes pretty consistently through either video are in the end not things I think point out to anything particularly interesting or well-observed, hence my opinion about them not being particularly insightful. So basically you are saying that his opinions based on years of research are false because you talked to few women... boy aren't you full of yourself. It appears that you DO respect the social sciences then? Cool, let's talk about class divisions then.

I feel like an actual issue is ridiculed to an extent where no one thinks about it seriously but for many it remains a harsh reality. The American left must be very useless.

https://8values.github.io/index.html Let's see how we're going. I got 84.6% Equality (over wealth) 71.2% Peace (over strength) 77.1% Liberty (over authority) 92.2% Progressive (over tradition) Making me a "libertarian socialist". I'm satisfied

It's classes. Not races. So the "split" , as you call it, has always been there... its existence has nothing to do with the recent influx of refugees, but is rather an inevitable product of hierarchy. If there is someone on the top and someone below him, there will always be tensions; but isn't that self evident?

That would mean your actions and decisions aren't your own, in other words you arent responsible for either what you do or what you think...and that includes the outcome Consider that for a second and think of what it could mean? Would it even make a difference? I mean, we couldn't ever know for sure. So would it make a difference? It would matter hugely to many people who now could commit any crime or wrongdoing and then claim its " fatalism ". Bennie are you really going to suggest you wouldnt have some kind of breakdown and break the law ? In WW1 fatalsim became the religion in the trenches due to the appalling and incomprehensible slaughter in the trenches http://www.warmuseum.ca/firstworldwar/history/life-at-the-front/trench-conditions/faith-and-fatalism/ https://www.theguardian.com/world/2014/oct/30/fatalist-at-war-first-world-war-diaries-german-soldier-rudolf-binding That's... simply wrong. If we DEFINITELY don't live in a videogame, that breakdown will never happen. If we DEFINITELY live in a videogame, that breakdown won't happen either, since we aren't programmed to realise that we do. If we CAN NOT know for certain, it remains all but a philosophical concept, thereby never leading to the breakdown

Gym and a routine must become a lifestyle choice, if you not committed and make these types of excuses then rather not go I have been making excuses to go to gym the last 6 months but started last week but I injured my muscle while rowing. I have been in such pain but its getting better now so maybe I'll take 1 week off Next time I intend to warm up properly Sounds like a safe lifestyle
