  1. definitely less people working in them around here now. Then again, we mostly have rather small ones. There’s a possibility it might as well just be a correlation. Regardless, it’s an example to point out an underlying principle.
  2. Because he gives you 100% of tools, 100% of materials, 100% of work space, 100% of salary etc.KP: My employer takes away most of what I produceSharp one: But the rest he lets you keep, so be grateful. As for what he keeps, he uses it in away that will allow him to take away more from you while letting you keep less. Just ask the McDonalds employees how those new touch screens worked out for them.
  3. Right so the solution is to take away the things people have worked for all their lives because not everyone enjoyed the same success. That will really incentivize me to work hard. Ah who am I fooling. Whenever communists take over people like me are the first ones to be lined up and shot. But on the extremely remote chance that didn't happen you'd better believe I'll be the one picking apples. Let the carpenter bust his butt! I’m gonna need your full name, address and any important relatives
  4. What would be Apple? You seem to have inserted a random contextless sentence fragment into the post. the ones fooling you
  5. Guard Dog, we also endure every rambling of you when it comes to the evil state interference. So do cut us some slack here. Besides, there’s something to learn. You don’t have to understand anything to support capitalism, you just have to appreciate the status quo. You actually have to understand said status quo to support socialism. Of course, everyone can understand the attractiveness of a world where everyone does what is best for him and everyone wins. But as the prisoners dilemma shows, that doesn’t work. And it would be Apple
  6. I especially enjoyed the pedo bear Christian. I also use it in Civ VI... +1 Amenities for every city with a holy site is surprisingly useful

  9. the hell did you do to motivate that chicken?
  10. Well since assholery leads to them, they already know. Why those videos usually use National Independence Day celebration from Poland is curious though. same reason leftists use the soviet anthem. Regardless of the actual situation there, nations following roughly your ideology have a certain appeal to the ideologically driven
  11. Somewhat related: German court just ruled that it is unconstitutional that there are only two options for gender on official forms given that it is biologically possible (and the case for around 80000 Germans) to be born as neither (having only one X chromosome); so our parliament will have to add a third option for those cases.
  12. I know it couldn’t be more irrelevant but the Nazis definitely stole a left wing song there. https://youtu.be/lu2jC4Gyo9Q Someone tells these fascies where assholery leads
  13. I turn on the radio, the news channel, and the first thing I hear is „will the revolution have to start with a storm on Wall Street or on Google’s servers?“ Made my day.
  14. Happy anniversary comrades
  15. facts don’t care about your feelings. Only his.
  16. Evil is never just evil. Never. And pretending it would be is the easy way out. Like the kid closing his eyes, thinking that the monster isn’t there if he can’t see it. And of course you need a state monopoly on physical violence. Anything else means that single people or a small group of people can undermine the governments authority and thereby effectively the law. A constitution is only useful if people actually follow it; and it seems counterintuitive to allow people to utilise violence, the only actual tool of enacting law, outside of the constitution.
  17. I find it fascinating how many people get emotional over the gun issue. Of course there will be more successful homicides and suicides if everyone has a gun. Moreover, a state monopoly on violence is something good. Should the guns have never been there in the first place? Difficult to say, historically. Is the situation now vastly different from when the legislation was passed in terms of gun technology? Yes. Should the guns go? In principle, yes. Practically, that will be one of the most difficult if not the most difficult law to ever pass.Perhaps our American friends could grant some insight has to how such legislation might work; other of course than „I will shoot at any police officer who tries to take away my guns.“ So, if we can’t ban guns, how are we gonna keep people from putting them to their intended use?
  18. Are we gonna talk about the paradise paper thing? If I’m reading this correctly, amongst other things the US secretary of trade has made private business with a Russian company owned by a relative of Putin. And so many rich people not paying their taxes As always, feel free to translate http://www.spiegel.de/wirtschaft/soziales/paradise-papers-datenleck-belastet-trump-minister-trudeau-und-die-queen-a-1176585-amp.html
  19. Overheard today in the library “I never look forward to homework. It’s always tedious and boring. Takes me forever to finish. But at least, in the end, I’m always glad it’s over. In a way, it’s the polar opposite of a one night stand.”
  20. Nvm, upload didn’t work. But it had some nice pictures of a river at dawn Downsized and Added one for you wonderful people.
  21. Let me summarize this way: 1. My company made a profit which I must pay tax. 2. I pay myself from that money and I need to pay tax + healthcare + social. 3. When I buy something from the money left I need to pay VAT (value added tax) on everything I buy. 4. Some underage schmuck who lives with his parents tells me I don't pay enough. “leftists only appeal to emotions, not facts.”-the same guy who just listed all of the taxes he has to pay in a matter purely aimed at creating the impression, i.e. emotion, of overtaxation and responds to criticism with nothing but ad hominem.
  22. Yes, only. We are from EU, 40% is in the lower ends of our taxes. which is entirely reasonable. In the pre Regan/Thatcher era, income taxes were usually around 60-70% in the western world, and many countries used to have things like taxes in wealth. We are consumer economies, and therefore, we need a large mass of consumers capable of consuming. Yet, we allow capital to further centralise in fewer hands. Instead of taxing those hands harshly, our governments need to cut spending and take on debt, most likely Both. At the end of the day, we have a huge amount of public debt and a huge amount of idle cash in the form of private wealth; but of course, wealth is really a societal product. So higher taxes than 40% seem reasonable?
