Please, don't confuse us betas with the team. None of us have actually done any real work on the mod.
I'd also like to ask if you've got any proof that that's genuine. There's more than a few people* silly enough out there to fake something like that, unfortunately.
EDIT: If this is legit, I suppose I should point out for those that aren't going to read carefully (and there are always a few) that this is a supposed log from prior to the original beta leak at 1.0b8.
*Hello, Jay Little/darkgamorck. Yes, we know and frankly, it's old news, and your moment in the spotlight is over. Like Bob Geldof, you are fast becoming irrelevant. Don't embarrass yourself with another puffed-up appearance, please. For your own sake.

Well, there was Prey...

Fortunately, the solution is fairly simple.
Repeat the following utterance:
"O you gods of the South, of the North, of the West and of the East,
honour Krezack, fear him, for he sat in the leather tent of the Two Courts.
The Red One, the djenen-snake, might have burned you, for it crushes your hearts."

I've been found out. Because I think the development of atmosphere is valuable, I am inherently opposed to primary methods of traditional storytelling. Words, themes, and characters are my enemy. I am the destroyer of your dreams. Sorry it had to come to this.
You mean this game isn't going to be a textual cornucopia lengthier than the KJV a la Torment?
You, sir, are the spawn of Beelzebub. THE SPAWN OF BEELZEBUB I TELL YOU!!!!!!!!!!!!
Now if you'll excuse me, the men in the white coats are coming (ha-ha)...

Maybe you finally got to play the evil witch?...
Going up against the mighty Seven Dwarfs and their henchmen. Boss fights before facing the cabal of Dwarfs include duels with Prince Charming and Snow White. Use brute force, trickery, poisoned apples, whatever gets the job done.
Thank you,
But seriously, folks...the name really can't be more than a REFERENCE to Snow White...right..?
Why? Why shouldn't an RPG be based around Grimm-style fairy tales?
Would MotB be any less brilliant if Safiya was a Fairy Godmother? Would it gut the story if
you met Myrkul
in a coffee shop?
I do dislike this idea that what makes a good story or setting is that it takes place in a fortress made out of a thousand skulls, or on a plane crafted from billions of years of pretension, in a parliament made of a hundred-thousand objections to the split infinitive. It's not - it's what is done with it. What's cool about
your conversation with Myrkul
is the content of the conversation, not that it takes place where it does. What's cool about Kreia is her character, not that she can make lightsabres float.

I think they could take the Dialogue Stance System (hope that makes it into future games, anyway) and really make a good therapy RPG. Maybe a licensed In Treatment game!
Dazzling!
Why do you feel that they could take the Dialogue Stance System (hope that makes it into future games, anyway) and really make a good therapy RPG. Maybe a licensed In Treatment game? Does the idea that they could take the Dialogue Stance System (hope that makes it into future games, anyway) and really make a good therapy RPG. Maybe a licensed In Treatment game make you feel uncomfortable?

This stuff should to be published in a semi universal (male version) "Forumites Guide to The Galaxy"
"Sex is big. Really big. I mean, you just won't believe how vastly, mind-bogglingly big it is. You may think the Beatles are popular, but that's just peanuts to sex. Listen..."

Sit in the corner and recite The Fire Sermon at her. Guaranteed to win her over.

Personally, I'm hoping for an RPG in which one of the central scenes consists of a pair of angels debating over how many humans can dance on the top of the Eiffel Tower, while they both stand on the head of a pin.

Scale and distance have surprisingly little to do with reality and a lot more to do with presentation techniques and the feeling the player has while moving through the space.
Or, scientific reality does not necessarily suit "realism" or our feel of reality.
Agreed.
But then, huge swathes of reality are, to be quite honest, rather dull.
I don't know about you, but Deluxe Ironing Challenge doesn't sound that great a game to me.
As another (more relevant) example, the size of, say, Neverwinter in NWN2 is cartoonishly disproportionate to the size of a real city like that; but do we really need to see five-million wharfs and eighty-thousand tons of cargo while retaining the same level of content? Cuz that just sounds like a waste of... well, everything to me. Crates, for starters, but also less important things like time, money, assets and energy.
Maybe but that makes me want to see a to scale gameworld actually made
Maybe some day someone will do it as a gimmick
Certainly it'd be a going-out-of-business trick. Reduce your customer-base by 40% with just ONE PRODUCT!

Universal health care is fantasy induction, I wish the average dodo would look in the mirror and see the only 'free' health care provider anyone can give him.
And here we have proof positive that democracy is inherently a very, very bad idea.
Taxation without representation is the way foward.

I wouldn't say that. I would say that it's going to take a long time. Aside from the simple scale of the project, the smaller the team of course, the longer it'll take. I also think that JS has one enormous advantage which most modders don't: long experience of managing big projects. The likelihood of this project suddenly petering out due to a loss of interest on his part is much smaller, IMO, than with an amateur.

Bah, it will never get released anyway.
In my home country, we have a thing called 'patience'. We have another called 'realism'. The first require we be willing to wait; the second that we realise that one-man projects are, inevitably, going to take time.
It would have been an awesome game but I guess it's time to move on. I thought Sawyer was still working on it but with his last post, I have lost any hope to play this mod...Thank you for this fascinating tidbit. Perhaps you could tell us what you had for breakfast, too? Or the colour of your socks?
At least, you can't say I haven't tried...Yes, yes I can. You haven't tried, you've whinged. Quite a different thing.
These last posts of mine were an ultimate attempt to put some pressure for the release of TBH.And this is helpful - or constructive - in any way whatsoever... how? Wait, it's not. Never mind.
I shall stop posting in this thread unless Sawyer himself gives us an update on his work.DAMMIT Deirdre, we just can't go on like this! Or to translate, the melodrama is killing. If you're going to go, fine, do it. But don't announce it like it's something important.
If this seems unnecessarily harsh, all I've seen from you in this thread has been moaning about something. And, from experience, that is distinctly unhelpful.

What is NX3?
Something which, as of the present moment, may or may not exist. It's all detailed Schrodinger's Press Release.
If it does exist, it's the third expansion to Neverwinter Nights 2.

Defenestration. It's terribly exciting for both parties involved, though admittedly the "terrible" part is not evenly distributed.

Possibly related is the unannounced Unreal 3 game listed on The Great One's LinkedIn Page... ?
That's Alpha Protocol.

Technically, the Ink Spots were still going into the mid-60s...
nope, they were done before the 60's (at least the original group) and "Maybe" is pre-50's.
Really? Wiki gave 1964 for their breakup.

KotOR II again, PS:T and SoZ.
Tried to play KotOR I on a speed playthrough, but even with the game heavily modded, I got bored by the end of Dantooine. Kashyyyk and Korriban I could manage, but Manaan and Tatooine in combination look rather indigestible this time around. In TSL, I just finished Nar Shadaa again, this time as the Light Side Messiah , Sentinel/Watchman. Skills ftw! In PS:T, I've just gotten to the brothel. The cupboard/chest of drawers is probably the funniest thing I've seen in a game to date (with the possible exception of a couple of cut HK-50 lines for TSL). In SoZ, I'm starting to make enough cash to fund an economic stranglehold, although I fear I spotted the plot twist... almost the moment we entered Samargol.

BG3
It's only the third game of basketball? The folks at OE must play quite irregularly.

That would not be hard to find out, and even should the codes turn out to be legitimate, we've proven that someone got legit codes, which we knew already - not that DW did it. It wouldn't require that much for the person who sprung the leak, or an associate, to fake it. And given how much our leaking friend disliked/loathed DW, it wouldn't surprise me greatly. That, however, is pure speculation.
