  1. Thanks for the response Ethics gradient. I checked out your suggestion. The weird thing is, the Game Center didn't show me as being logged out....everything I saw suggested I was still logged in. However, I figured I would manually log out and back in, and after doing so, it seems the game recognizes my login.

     

    There is still an issue, however. My in-game store does not always load when I open the app. Typically, if I just wait, it will EVENTUALLY load... but we are talking quite a while. This isn't a major problem most of the time, except for 1 annoyance. My characters have unique color dice assigned to them, and with. The store not loading, it shows my dice a the default blue as the only option. It resets my chosen color on them. I'm not sure why it would even do that, as anything else I have through the store seems to be recognized.

  2. I seem to be in a similar situation. For about the past week, when I open the app, it doesn't auto log into ANY account. I go into my settings where. I would normally find the PFID, and it is blank. I've had a handful of times in that same time period when it DOES auto log into my account, but not logging in seems way more common.

     

    For reference, I only play on the iPad (don't have my account linked with any other types such as PC), and I don't remember ever manually linking to an Asmodee account...so if my account doesn't automatically log in (like it always did for the past year), I'm not even sure how to log in manually so I can continue.

  3. Now, when I try to start or continue with any party, the game crashes.

    The game is now essentially unplayable for me.

    I've made quite a few purchases and planned on making more, but I see no reason to if I can't even play the game anymore, and now I'm regretting spending anything to begin with.

    I've been in that situation for a month now...it's very frustrating. I even emailed 2-3 weeks back, and never received a response. I not only feel like I've wasted my money on an app that is unplayable...but feel like I'm being ignored now too when I need tech help.

  4. Ofcourse every update change the program and it seems that last updates did change the amounth memory that was needed to run. It like my old XP Computer can not run win10 because.

    A more accurate anology for this would be like your existing computer, which runs Windows 10 just fine, can no longer run Windows 10 because Microsoft released an update that broke the program on your existing computer, despite it having run just fine previously.

  5. @thetang22 It sounds like two things are happening.

     

    1) All your progress will not be gone, nor the cards, that is saved in PlayFab. It sounds like you are somehow logging into a new playfab account. Please send us your PFID and Account name and we will see is if the Asmodee login or something else is making that happen.

     

    2) Party creation sounds like a memory issue. Every character has all its deck cards loaded with it. Lots of character and lots of cards can blow out the memory. We are working on a streaming solution right now that will keep that from happening but again, please send us a ticket at support@obsidian.net and we will verify that is the case and we can even remove some unused characters that might be lingering around sucking up memory.

     

    We're working on these issues and really do apologize for all this happening.

    I will send the ID. I can't possibly imagine memory is an issue. I had a very minimal amount of active characters. If the characters associated with Quest Mode are now gone, then absolutely only a minimal amount. I had my primary party of 4, and might have had 1 or 2 other characters I played with at some point in time, but I was nowhere near having a "lot" of characters.

     

    The thing that is frustrating about suggesting that it is a memory issue on my device is that the game was completely playable, with rarely any crashing before your recent updates. Now, suddenly after said updates...my game is unplayable due to my device's supposed lack of memory.

     

    The better question is what did you guys do in the recent updates that screwed things up to make my system's previously ok memory now an issue after updating?

     

    edit - I apologize if I sound like I've got attitude about this stuff....but I was gone for months, and as soon as I came back, the program got updated and made my game unplayable, whereas it was previously playable.

     

    I get frustrated talking to "tech support" when the approach taken is usually "here's what is likely wrong on your end (the consumer) that would result in things being messed up".  However, if you approach it with the computer bug testing approach, you'd take things back to the last known "working" iteration of the software, and assess what has changed since then.  The answer to that question is that you guys changed your software in some way.  Nothing happened on my end to make my software work one moment, then suddenly not the next...other than downloading your update.  That would suggest the source of the problem was due to the software changes you guys made - not something with my device.

  6. Well, the update from a week ago made it so I could not do anything with party creation, and since I had no active parties, the game has been unplayable. There was an update the very next day that didn't fix the issue. That was frustrating, but I tried to be patient.

     

    I downloaded the update tonight, and now ALL my progress have been lost. ALL the cards I've acquired into my collection are gone. My characters don't exist. And I logged in the way I always have to make sure it wasn't just that, and still everything is gone.

     

    I don't particularly mind so much losing my active characters, as I can always start a fresh party. What I DO mind is losing all the content added to my collection since the game was released on IOS. That was a LOT of chests opened that are just gone now. Some of that was the result of real $$ spent, too.

     

    Please tell me I'm not simply screwed, and there is some way to recover AT LEAST my Collection.

     

    Edit - I did a little more investigating....and party creation is STILL ****ed up. My device never had problems with memory to cause these issues until your recent updates.

     

    I am so frustrated with Obsidian right now. Your recent updates broke things and made the game unplayable for a decent amount of people. You should do the responsible thing and roll back the update to the version prior to last week's update. THEN, internally fix your problems with the update that you envision before releasing it and making the game unplayable for a decent number of your customers.

  7. I can understand how it now works, but I have to agree with mccrispy - the new design seems inferior to the old. It does seem less intuitive. Having the stash and unclaimed seems unnecessarily clunky.

     

    In regards to the new unclaimed tab, and how all the treasure chests just automatically GIVE you the loot...I REALLY dislike this system. I want content to be added to my collection (aka your "box of cards" in relation to the physical game), that way I have to earn it via actual gameplay (like the vast majority of the cards). Adding in a system to simply buy chests that you can immediately add to your player decks seems like pay-to-win strategy...and does not make the game better.

     

    I want this game to stay as "pure" as possible to the physical game, and I can't think of any instance that you can buy a card(s) with real money and instantaneously add it to your deck. The closest example would be the promo type cards, and even those you do nothing more than add them to your box (collection) for a chance to come across them during the course of play.

     

    The unclaimed tab simply cheapens the experience. Keep this game as true as possible to the spirit of the original. Don't add in shortcuts for the lazy gamer who doesn't want to earn his/her cards the way the actual game was intended.

  8. So, Hannibal's response says that we're going to have the pleasure of waiting 1-2 months (barring a hotfix) to get an update and hopefully a fix to not being able to play the game?

    I would love to get an official response, because other than people on the forum, there's been really nothing than a statement of about oh, we'll let them know.

    I'm in a similar boat. I came back from a multi-month break. Last I played I had deleted my existing party and was doing some solo character play. However, I wanted to go back to a multi-character party now, yet was unable to edit the existing 1-character party to have 4 characters. I figured I'd just delete that existing "party" and attempt making a new one. However, I quickly found that party creation is currently broken, and I can't make a new party. I now have no existing party, nor can I make one...

     

    Oh well, I'll go play in Quest Mode, since I do remember having a full active party in that game mode. Wait a sec, where did Quest Mode go??? Oh, that's right - they removed it.....because.

     

    My game is unplayable, and it is very frustrating. And for what it is worth, I bought the Rise of the Runelords bundle on day 1, because I wanted to support this project so it could be the best it possibly could be. However, the game has had an abundance of bugs since day 1, and instead of streamlining the experience and fixing bugs as thoroughly as possible, efforts instead go towards creating more micro-transactions that do very little for the overall "quality of life" of the game.

     

    Is there a bug with the in-game store? "Oh my God -> We need to fix that IMMEDIATELY!!!!!"

    Is there a bug with the actual game that makes it unplayable? "Put it on the to-do list....we'll get to it eventually"

     

    That's what it feels like.

  9. I saw yet ANOTHER ios update this morning, and after installing it, I STILL can't play the game.

     

    When will you guys fix party creation?!?! I haven't played in several months, and only decided to come back a few days ago...but since doing so I haven't been able to play due to this issue.

     

    Please fix your game...it is very annoying being unable to play a game I paid for.

  10. I just bought this as well, and was surprised after the fact that it was only 30 days. Had I known that I would likely not have purchased this. It does not have to do with the potential value from collecting every day for 30 days - anyone can see the potential there. My concern is that I play this game VERY casually. I'll play for a few days, then put it away for extended periods of time. I thought it would be nice to get an extra 200 gold for a few days now.....possibly put the game down for a few weeks (or even months) and be able to come back at any time and still rely on the 200 gold.

  11. I suppose I was wondering if any sort of wiki had started getting developed so that people could browse the cards. I'm not interested in any particular card....I'm interested in simply browsing ALL of them, just to see what they have created unique to this game. I don't expect I'll ever be at a point where I've unlocked everything, and I don't want to miss out on seeing what the cards actually are, despite whether I ever get to use them or not.

  12. Is there a spot anywhere that lists the details of all the treasure you can get from treasure chests? I'm not talking about just the names, as I'm aware you can view that in the Gallery/Vault section. I'm talking about what all the cards do and look like. I'm aware there is a degree of "play the game and you'll find out"....but it would require WAY more hours in this game than I know I will ultimately play in order to unlock everything simply just to see what the cards are.

  13. First, this game (like the physical version) is a lot of fun.

     

    What is NOT fun is when I frequently run into bugs that hault scenario progression; such as completing a required check, and then the following button to proceed never appears. A scenario can just sit in idle forever...not being able to progress. I understand bug fixing usually requires as accurate an account of the events as possible, but in cases like this...it almost happens every single scenario I play. It often happens when there is a triggered 2nd check...such as after you defeat the first henchman at a location automatically encounter another enemy. After defeating the second enemy, the continue button simply never appears. It's not hidden either, because in my experience, you can still click buttons you can't see so long as you click where it would usually be. The above example is by no means the only time this progression block happens, but that happens to be the most common for me right now playing Quest mode.

     

    I have to close out of the game and hope re-entering will sort of reset whatever problem was there, but it often does not. Alternatively, I've just tried redoing the check and purposely failing, and that seemed to avoid the problem. That should not have to be an acceptable solution. If I use that method for this particular check, my character will die. If I succeed on the check, my game hits a progression block.

     

     

    On a different note - please fix the layering of your content. This is a visual bug that happens a LOT. Cards that are viewable in one screen remain viewable in a different view or menu they shouldn't. Buttons you need to click that are BEHIND cards on the screen. It's just a lot of stuff like this that happens quite often.

     

    The game is fun, but the sorts of bugs that you guys have in this game are an annoying exercise in tolerance. I stopped playing for several months due to annoyances like these....and I'm to the point of questioning if I should stop again.

  14.  Like Luxionmk2 posted above, did you play any other cards during her check that would have changed the check to a Melee check as oppose to just a strength check?

    No, I had not played any other cards when I noticed, nor was there anything in this encounter/scenario/location that would have forced me to use my "melee" skill instead of my strength.

     

    I tried to give as much context on the situation as possible, because I could find no logical reason why it would force me to use a d4 from the get go, and provided me no other options in the check-type drop menu.

     

    For further confusion, my unarmed skill ended up going back to d8 for later encounter in the same game and following. I assume it had to do with the specific set of variables that contributed to the bug.

  15. Enjoying the game very much so far. I'm a big fan of the printed game, and this seems to be pretty faithful to that.

     

    I have stumbled across what appears as my first real bug. I am playing the IOS version.

     

    I'm playing the first quest of Attack on Sandpoint. I came across Ripnugget, so it gave me the option to temp close other locations. Merisiel is at the Swallowtail Festival, which has a closing condition of defeat/acquire the next card in the location deck. The card is a Zombie, so it's to be combat.

     

    Merisiel doesn't currently have any weapons in hand, so it will be an unarmed combat. The problem - Merisiel should be using her Strength value (d8) for unarmed combat, but this game is only allowing me to use d4, as though it is a "melee check". (There are no other options in the check drop down menu).

     

    The rules for PACG state that when you don't have a specific skill printed on your card, that skill is a d4. I can assume this is the root of the problem, as the game is implying an unarmed combat check HAS to be a "melee check". However, unarmed combat is one of the exceptions to that d4 rule. In unarmed combat, the rules state you can use you melee OR strength value. Unless the rules have changed, Merisiel should be rolling d8 on an unarmed combat check, not d4.
