  1. This is currently happening to me aswell!

Now I am trying to figure out how to get out of this mess. Problem is, a quest will get canceled when you fight your way through the fort and then the try to get past the gangster gatekeeper once you reach the undercroft from the opposite site.

He will start his normal dialogue, but immediately becomes hostile before the dialogue starts and will then attack your group afterwards, even when you agree to go away.

I tried to confuse the thugs via spell in order to sneak past them but it didn't work.

Now I try to find another way out of the gullet or I think I have to live with the decreased rep from killing these people.

Btw, I managed to sneak past everyone in the hidden fort/vault.

You can easily sneak through undercoft without triggering anyone, simply using the rope and avoiding talking to the thug on the other side.

However, the few thugs in delver's row seem to be unavoidable. Killing them won't cancel any quests, though you'll receive -3 reputation in delver's row. Make sure don't accidentally hit any npc like I did...

  2. Most dps is the ranger.

How can a ranger match the dps of a cipher or rogue?

If you are high level, I suggest using paladin and chanter as tanks. Fighter, monk and barbarian are tankier but they lack the versatility of paladin and chanter.

In my opinion, a good party should have 2 front line tankers, 2 second line casters equipped with hatchet and shield (wizard sucks so use a priest and a druid here) 2 3rd line damage dealers with 3 con and 3 res ( 2 ciphers would be good. lots of cc and huge damage output)

  3. Well, you are level 13, and the final boss was originally supposed to be doable at level 10 or so. That's a pretty big factor.

So the high level option was not added at 2.0? I thought it was for lv13 or lv14 characters..

Perhaps the design of the final battle as well is to blame, there are only 2 "adds" that's not much for a "tank" to take care of. Also the fact that many of the high end boses are not immune to cc makes these fights more easy. Higher resistances, DR, more immunities either to elements or type of damage etc we need more of these things. A solution for the player would be to either go there with an under level party but most of us don't really like that since we want to reach the maximum potential of the character or go there with a poor balanced party without optimizing stats/builds etc again something which most of us won't do since by nature we strive to do "the best we can". So in the end I believe at least for PotD difficulty the bosses should be 1-6 levels higher than the max level allowed for players in this case 15-20 level boss(depending on wether he has adds or not and how many) vs 14 level player with extra unique abilities and more immunities, all this only for PotD of course.

Agreed. Bosses should have some resistance to cc, maybe half the duration or something.

btw, is there any ways to lure the xaurips around the adra dragon separately? I could kill those tree men first, but the dragon always came after the xaurips..

    It was possible
