  1. Some suggestions to start with...

First, answer all of these following questions.

    1) During the game, when did the problem begin to occur?

    2) Did you install the latest version of the TSLRCM mod? (1.8.5 for TSLRCM). We only provide assistance for the most current version of those mods.

    3) What version of the game do you have? (Steam, GOG, 4CD, KotOR Collection?) What region is the game designed for if it's the 4 CD version?

    4) What version of the M4-78 EP do you have?  Is it version 2.2 or 1.3?  Also answer what site you got it and an estimate of when you downloaded it.

    5) Did you update your game as required by your game's region? (4-CD version ONLY)

    6) Did you install this over the previous version(s), or did you perform a fresh installation as required by the TSLRCM's read-me file?

    7) What other mods have you installed? Please give an accurate list and provide links to each of these mods - even if they are found on this site. (We don't actually know them all!.)

    8) Can you be more specific about the error? At what point did it happen?

    9) Have you tried re-downloading/re-installing the mod?

    10) Have you tried using a different save game?

    11) Have you tried starting a new game?

    12) What Operating System do you use? (List Virtual Machines as well if you are using them.)

    13) Can you confirm that you see the TSLRCM logo on the main menu screen?

    14) What language is your game set for?

    15) Which language of TSLRCM are you using?

    16) Are you playing this on a laptop or a desktop computer?

    17) Did you install TSLRCM after you started your game?

    Next, do this . . .

If you used version 1.2 of the M4-78 EP, post both the questions above AND the answers to them in this thread on Deadly Stream.

If you used version 1.3 of the M4-78 EP, post both the questions above AND the answers to them in this thread on Deadly Stream.

Don't bother to reply to me as I won't be returning to this thread.

PS: The ship is actually called the "Ravager." Revanger is not a word in the English language.

  2. Hello folks,

The last few "weekly topics updates" that I've seen pop up on my e-mail seem to focus on TSLRCM.

As the makers of that mod are usually on Deadly Stream - and not on here as much - you'll have a better chance of getting a timely response if you post your issue over there. Here a few suggestions to get the best response over there to get back on track.

    A) Be able to answer all of these questions for starters...

    1) When did the problem begin to occur? (Which planet, which map on the planet, during a cutscene/dialogue/fight, etc.)
    2) What version number of TSLRCM that you have installed?
    3) What version of the game do you have? (Steam, 4CD, KotOR Collection?) What region is the game designed for if it's the 4 CD version?
    4) Did you update your game as required by your game's region? (Updates are included in the Steam version. Skip this question if you are using that.)
    5) Did you install this over the previous version(s), or did you perform a fresh installation as required by the TSLRCM's read-me file?
    6) Did you use the TSLPatcher, if provided?
    7) Were there any errors in the TSLPatcher installation?

    8) What other mods have you installed? Please give an accurate list and hyperlink each list entry to these mods - no matter which site you've downloaded them from. (Don't assume the modders are familiar with a mod you're using other than TSLRCM.)
    9) Can you be more specific about the error? At what point did it happen?
    10) Have you tried re-downloading the mod?
    11) Have you tried using a different save game?
    12) Have you tried starting a new game?
    13) What Operating System do you use? (List Virtual Machines as well if you are using them.)

    B) Compatibility Issues

Yes, there is a compatibility list over at Deadly Stream of what mods have been determined to work with TSLRCM. This list also lists mods that won't work with TSLRCM. One thing to keep in mind though: Some mods may work with.TSLRCM individually but they may not work with each other. Deadly Stream holds no responsibility for a mod's interaction with each other. Keep in mind that some mods on the Compatibility List have extra requirements to make them compatible which are indicated next to the title, including the installation order of the mods.

    C) M4-78 Enhancement Project

If you're using M4-78 EP - and you suspect that mod may be the cause - post in the M4-78 EP section rather than the TSLRCM section. (Explain why you feel M4-78 EP is to blame if you feel this is the case.)

If you are not sure, post your issue in the TSLRCM area.

    D) Has your issue been reported before?

Do a search on Deadly Stream to make sure you're not retracing someone else's steps. You'll find that TSLRCM is discussed at Deadly Stream, LucasForums, and at MODDB.

    Thanks for your attention.

  3. "1.0c Xenon Patch" is incompatible with TSLRCM - any version of it. M4-78 EP only works with TSLRCM 1.8 or higher.

Just so you know, the "1.0c Xenon Patch" is a compilation of mods that the author (and I use that term loosely here) mostly stole from others without seeking permission. The mods stolen were not acknowledged in her read me either. It's a buggy mess and will likely not play nicely with any larger scale mods. You have been warned.

  4. About Kreia

There's been some discussion elsewhere on what Kreia actually is - dark sides, light sided or neither.

Both sides of the discussion agree that she has renounced both the Sith and Jedi as that can be proved via quotes from the game. However, we wonder if Kreia's actions in the game represent a "grey" viewpoint or one of the diametrically oppsed viewpoints. I think that Kreia's moral relativism might be throwing some of us off. I was wondering if any of the KOTOR2 writers and developers might wish to put in their two cents and clear up the matter.

  5. Her return was orchestrated by Atris and implemented by the HK-50 droids, as was indirectly seen when the first one said he had been looking for you.

I think that someone (Atris or Carth) saw that the Exile could help save Telos

Oh, I'm sure Atris was looking for him too. That was at least implied in her dialogues IIRC. However, I don't think she had the kind of pull to bring the Exile back in a Republic cruiser. That would be due to Admiral Onasi who states ". . . resume course to Telos with the passenger. It is of the highest importance that [he/she reach] Telos." Of course, when you meet him after the Battle of Telos, all he actually asks you if where Revan is.

Think about this - KOTOR2 could be the result of Carth being the galaxy's biggest fan boy.

As for where exactly she was before, I don't believe that has been established.

That might make for an interesting, different question.

Regardless, if you believe the lore Kreia was responsible for everything that happened; she manipulated and misguided all the major characters, from the Exile to T3, into having things happen exactly as they did. That's rather hard to believe though, so it's hard to say exactly what went on behind the scenes.

Kreia was thrown out of the Sith Triumvirate for not killing the Exile. The following line that remains on the game disc but wasn't used in the final version of the Kreia's Fall cutscene. She says "I did not wish to kill you so they cast me down . . . stripped me of my power. . . exiled me." [Filename: 907kreiaend015.wav] Seeing as she was seeking out the Exile, she too could be accused of manipulating events so the Exile but her mainpulations seem to occur only when she drags the Exile on to the Ebon Hawk to escape.

Here's how I see it and if anyone else has a better idea, please share:

    a) Carth seeks Revan and is [mis]using his position to find him/her

    b) By using his resources, Carth unwittingly lets Kreia (and perhaps Atris) know where the Exile is.

    c) G0-T0 also finds out - due to him being a Republic droid. He seeks him for his own purposes however - to save the Republic because he's forced to by his programming. G0-T0 places a bounty on the Exile.

    d) The HK-50 was on the Harbinger only because Revan seeded the machines throughout the galaxy. That was likely just coincidence. However, the bounty would have been common knowledge to the HK 50 seeing as the Exile return to coreward systems had already been leaked to galaxy.

    e) Leaked by . . . Atris.

Good question, I'll give you that.

    Thanks.

  6. TSL players know that the Exile (referred to here as "she") was on board the Harbinger at the start of the game, and eventually was rescued by Kreia. I'd like to know why she was on board the Harbinger in the first place. I don't recall any details in the game that explain why she returned from her Exile. Granted, it's been a little bit since I've played it. Was it of her own accord? Did the Republic go and find her? I'd love to hear what you think - and if you can back it up with materials from the game or other sources, so much the better.

  7. Well, 1.6 is out, get it on deadlystream. :p

Also grab the little hotfix while you're there, wouldn't want to get stuck on NS now, do we?

    Just two notes:

    A) You don't need the previous builds (1.5 and earlier) to use TSLRCM. It is a standalone mod.

    B) The compatibility fix for USM that's up their right now is only for the 1.5 build.

When one is created for the 1.6 build, it should clearly state that as part of it's title.

  8. PastramiX from Lucas Forums kindly answered the question for me . . .

The music in the cutscene is actually just a spliced medley of various tracks; more specifically:

    mus_nihilus.wav (0:15-0:29) Movie:(0:00-0:15)

    mus_a_900.wav (0:14-0:50) Movie:(0:16-0:52)

    mus_nihilus.wav (0:27-0:47) Movie:(0:53-1:13)

    mus_main.wav (1:39-2:24) Movie:(1:14-1:58)

    mus_s_negative.wav (0:00-~0:09) Movie:(1:59-2:05)

    Thanks, man!

  9. Updates for the TSLRCM 1.5 Mod:

There is an error in the patcher included with the original release over at KOTORFiles. (Apparently a few of files were missing and there is one error on Dantooine which may lead to Disciple to be missing.) Get the fix here:

Update to the KOTORFiles 1.5 release of TSLRCM

For those fond of using the Ultimate Saber Mod, now you don't have to choose TSLRCM over USM. Darth Stoney has created a compatibility patch so you'll be to use the USM with TSLRCM!

    TSLRCM - USM Compatibility Patch

As with all mods, please pay particular attention to the read me files included so there isn't any issue with your installation. If you have any questions before (or after) attempting to install these mods and the read me file has already been consulted, ask for advice in this thread. (Reviews of the mod are also welcomed over there as well.)

  10. Stoney has made the big announcement over at LucasForums but I thought I'd share it here.
