  1. Somethig that would factor into loot that I rarely see mentioned is the fact that you engaged and killed these enemies in combat. Equipment breaks. How much usable gear can you reasonably expect to recover when you just burned your foes to death with a fireball or disolved them with a cloud of acid? Even just tanking and spanking would reduce the amount of recoverable gear.

  2. I have to agree with the common sentiments on D&D 4E and 5E. Steaming piles of oversimplified crap. D&D 3.5 remains my favorite D&D ruleset. Although I had my own house rules for AC that combined AC and DR. I was ahead of my time.

As far as changing PoE into D&D...why? It's a unique game with it's own unique ruleset. Let's not water down our already limited choices in RPGs to be more of the same old same old.

  3. The problem with that talent is that it should use percentages but instead uses flat numbers. It would be more worthwile if it restored 80% and then dropped you by 50%. As it is, barely any character can survive the -163.5 endurance hit and there is no character crucial enough to battle to bring back for 16 seconds just to have them faceplant again.

  4. If my PnP days are any indication a MP session would go somewhat like this:

Me: Ok, we're at the door to the next room, what's everyone doing?

    Fighter: *passed out drunk*

Wizard:  *got picked up by his mom early*

    Cleric:    *out picking up pizzas*

Barb:     *drawing **** on fighter with a magic marker*

    Rogue:   I'm ready

    Me:        Ok then

How this translates to a CRPG:

Me: Ok, we're at the door to the next room, everyone ready?

    Figher : AFK

    Wizard: AFK

    Cleric:   AFK

    Barb:    AFK

    Rogue:  RDY

  5.

But.... if quitting deleted your save, how would you ever quit?

Sorry. I typed up a lot of useless convoluted stuff just now and then I realised: in Trial of Iron the quit button should be replaced by a Save and Quit button (which is what the Save button itself does, so basically get rid of the quit button.)

That's a much better suggestion, but I have concerns about reloading to try conversations different ways. Although I suppose if you're using Trial of Iron then you've probably played through the game already.
