  1. A company asking for a kick starter funding is kind of... unprofessional. It's also quite balzy. Lol. Can't say I disagree with the move though, why give royalty to some money pimp when people are willing to fund it because your name is made and known?

What does it matter for this game, you ask? All I'm saying is, this game is equivalent in content and quality than old baldurs gate, yet they had a 4 million dollar extra. Makes me wonder if it's the pirates fault or not, because internet and piracy wasn't as widespread 15 years ago. This game is good, I'm not saying otherwise, all I'm saying is, I expected more, and I'm sure many more hold the same thought as I.

  2. Yes I do.

I like the engagement system. It's realistic.

You think free invisible instant attack with no animation that can occur at the same time as a character is physically attacking a different unit or in the middle of an attack animation/casting a spell/doing something else as long as they have a melee weapon equipped is realistic? Or that if you attack somebody they always have to stop and attack you?

Yes I do. Pick up some foam swords, try a 2 v 1 fight, you ll see how quickly you die. One free attack is nothing compared to a realistic fight. Also, the engagement system forces you to approach fights with a plan in mind, not blindly rush in and then fix your own mistakes, which means more strategy. And the engagement system also works both ways, to hinder enemies as well.

  3. Scion of flame : Grants +5 DR against flame attacks and increase flame damage you deal by 20 %

Question : How does it work?

Does it add 20 % flame damage to all your weapons when you strike?
    Does it turn a 25 % flame damage on a weapon into a 45 % or a 30 % ( 25 + 20 % of 25 ) ?

Or does it only increase flame damage of your spells?
If I make a chanter with that feat and uses the song that gives 25 % extra flame damage to my party ( I know the tooltip says 25 damage, but its actually 25 % extra fire damage ), will my whole party have an extra +25 % flame damage, +30 % flame damage or +45 % flame damage?

If I make a chanter with that feat and the rest of my party also has that feat, and I use the chanter lvl 3 fire damage on strike for my whole party, will they all have +25% flame damage on strike, +30 % flame damage, +45 % flame damage, or will the scion of flame feat on my chanter allies also be applied, turning it into a +30%, or + 36%, or +65% flame damage? Heck I'm losing track of the numbers here!

  4.

I meant rogues can't remain stealth when the combat begins, it's weird. But anyways. I was just saying, great game, I just expected more due to the four million dollar extra. It's pretty sad. Is it because of all the pirating or did they make tons of extra cash? A game like that is supposed to be 40 $ + taxes, not 45 $ + taxes + 4 million kick starter fund.

You seem to be thoroughly confused about how games are funded/made. Traditionally, a publisher would have given them the money to produce the game. That ~4 million from Kickstarter took the place of the funding that would have been provided by a publisher. Games aren't made for free out of thin air and then paid for afterwards... Many AAA RPGs cost many tens of millions of dollars to produce, and expecting this game (made on a budget of around 4 million) to be considerably longer or more complex than other modern RPGs doesn't make much sense.

Thoroughly confused... lol. Big words there mate. Yes, games are funded. They need to. When they're funded by an external source, that external source wants a cut of the game revenues when it's out... But the kickstarter guys aren't getting a cut, are they? No, I'm not "thoroughly confused" lol.

  5. Not to be ungrateful but my problem with these video guides is that they're just a waste of time. it's either enumeration of what I can see by myself on wiki or ingame, or it's outdated incorrect info, or it's just incorrect info. Forum offers more useful data and faster, if you filter the "I think.." "should be.." and similiar posts made by people who don't know, don't test, but still want to say something.

The problem with these is indeed the waste of time. Something that can be explained in 2 minutes often end up being 10 minute videos, sometimes up to an hour! Not to mention those that tries to get as many views from the kids and starts acting stupid.

  6. Great game.

Few flaws. It's rather short for a game that had an extra kick starter finance. How sad the gaming industry has become. Rogues can't stealth by themselves. A few more levels and content would've been nice.

Otherwise, fun game. Well balanced, good second level english writing all around. Graphics are medium but for that type of game, it's fine. Suppose I'll just take whatever Chris Avellone does. Haha! This game looks a lot like dungeon and dragon. Heck, the funny thing is, the combat system is even better! Anyways. G.G.

  7. I did the game on path of the damned with a warrior, rogue, barbarian, paladin, chanter, cipher. Very similar to your idea. It's very doable, I just gave everyone a 2 handed with full plate and they all tanked in turns. Outdoor fights were easy, indoors I would form a half circle around doorways rather than block it with just one guy, a 5 v 3 is still a good situation. Only my cypher was ranged, and when I met enemies that would summon monsters n stuff in the backrow to the point where I was in ****, I only lost my cipher ; all 5 others were still in the game for the rescue.
