I wasn't expecting Siege of Dragonspear to bridge Baldur's Gate and its sequel the way it did, and I was pleasantly surprised, especially looking back from Baldur's Gate II and seeing how the mid-prequel sets the stage for events to come.

Siege made me feel as if I'd come home after a long absence to find old friends waiting for me, with the same life and spark I remembered from when they first journeyed by my side.

An open letter to Battlezone fans

    Dear Battlezone fans

Firstly, thank you so much for all the great feedback we’ve received following the unveiling of our Battlezone reboot for virtual reality devices.

Having to keep quiet about something we’re crazy excited for has been a challenge, so to finally showcase it at E3 and see so many people just as excited for the game was really gratifying.

As our teaser trailer revealed, our VR version of Battlezone is very much a reboot of Atari’s 1980 arcade classic, a game we’re very fond of at Rebellion. However, we also know that a number of you are fans of the 1998 and 1999 Battlezone games released by Activision that re-imagined the franchise as a groundbreaking hybrid of FPS and RTS gameplay. Naturally when we made our announcement last week some of you asked, “But what about the newer Battlezone games? What are you doing with them?”

Well, we’ve read your comments, articles, emails and posts and we’ve seen your love for these games – so we wanted to make another brief announcement:

We’re very pleased to reveal that we’re also working on a remaster of the 1998 Battlezone for PC.

It’s still early days but when we’re ready to show you more you’ll be the first to know. All we can say for now is that whichever vision of Battlezone you love, you’ve not been forgotten!

    Thanks for reading

Ken miller and Nate Mates are freaking out ATM on BZforums and BZC =D, also mike arkin said that

    WELCOME BACK RAVE GUN!

  4. I find it not even worthy to discuss. Really, obviously it is an abstraction- we are still playing a game, after all.

In the end I find it more important how the worldmap in the game is presented. Stuff I like to repeat all the time: What makes Skyrim feel small to me is quests sending me from one edge of the world to the other, and people who know each other despite living extremely far away.

atleast we have something in common, thus

-Scrapped quests(not only those on the CK files, you could kill braith as a quest, put a end on the Thieves Guild)

-Lots of cut stuff(Hammerfell road, Throwing weapons, Polearms and spears, dragonstar, arena settlements)

-Companion quests(Lydia was supposed to be Brogruff's Niece, also the Regicide committed by his sons during Mephala's quest)

-Lack of ****ing decency to admit that they removed spears, Oblivion casting and polearms because of PS3 and X360 limitations and Skyrim CK being a horrible piece of slag(even if Fallout 3 and New vegas used the early alpha of CK engine with working spears)

-Rushed writing for a few things(visit teslore someday for that)

    -Meridia ball of light thing

    -Nothing about Jyggalag

-Bland Civil war, which was restored thanks to Appolidown

-No furor about You Killing the Emperor, or even Boethia's Goldbrand which he claimed to win the Great War

    -BROKEN FACIAL ANIMATIONS

atleast bethesda admited at E3 that they Dun Goofed with skyrim and it didn't reached their expectations(aka people saying that it was inferior to morrowind and Oblivion) in both lore and gameplay

but really, the only few thing that it saves in that game are

    -Crafting

    -Civil War

    -Dark Brotherhood quest

    -LDB = Talos Reborn theories

    -A Few Dawnguard bits

    -Dragonborn and herma mora

The rest is so forgettable, that its like fallout 2 MQ and the hubologists, you could simply say **** Arroyo, the Enclave's Cobra Commander plot and the hubologists

or Ignorable like fallout 3 sidequests and MQ, just simply do only The Pitt, Stealing Independence with Sydney and Point Lookout and screw the Capital wasteland, who here knows that Agatha exists?

i have faith in fallout 4, but then you remember how ****ed up and rushed skyrim it is 'til nowadays, and bethesda complete negligence to keep atleast 2 or 3 people to fix it

    For now

here's this music to prove everyone's point

  5. in fact, i felt that oblivion was bigger than skyrim

    and it was

    Skyrim Tamriel Worldspace: 3808 x 3008 [ 119 x 94 TES4 size cells ] = 6.9km x 5.4km = 37.6 sq km = 14.5 sq miles
    Oblivion Cyrodiil Worldspace: 4288 x 4128 [ 134 x 129 TES4 size cells ] = 7.7km x 7.4km = 57 sq km = 22 sq miles
    Morrowind Vvardenfell World: 2688 x 2816 [ 84 x 88 TES4 size cells ] = 4.8km x 5km = 24 sq km = 9.3 sq miles
    Fallout3 Wasteland Worldspace: 6304x6400 [ 197 x 200 TES4 size cells ] = 11.3km x 11.5km = 130 sq km = 50 sq miles
    Fallout3 New Vegas WastelandNV: 4096x4128 [ 128 x 129 TES4 size cells ] = 7.3km x 7.4km = 54 sq km = 21 sq miles

    now just 4 the lulz

    B7rBN.jpg

also its funny that oblivion and NV almost had the same map size, but NV was limited that small space due to time constrains, and bethesda fearing internal competition because of skyrim's announcement and release next year

    NV 2009/2010 vs Skyrim 2011

  6.

I mean that dude even admitted he was out to reduce the number of sales...no agenda here. A true honest broker.

You need to reread what I wrote, that last part is a bonus and not my motivation. In the same way that someone that enjoys Bethesdas games would see it as icing on the cake with increased sales.

I do remember death threats, but they were in the same way that anyone that is really annoyed with someone gives death threats. The only threat of NMA to Bethesda is revealing their bull****.

see, another luker from there and probably RPG codex

and you can smell the Hypocrisy from those years

  7.

The game isn't even out yet.  If you hated Fallout 3, why would you even waste time talking about the next one?  Being excited about an upcoming title and talking about it in a thread designated for the game is hardly the same as that.

Maybe they still hold out hope they'll stop screwing the series. Or perhaps it's just fun to pick at games, hardly hurting anyone - well, maybe people overly invested in a company selling them stuff. Being positive about this thing is as productive as is being negative about it, one wears the tshirt of a sucker, the other a cynic. :p

Anyone who expects Fallout 4 to be different than Fallout 3 is wearing both shirts.  A realist would expect the game to be much the same, and have a pretty good idea of what sort of enjoyment they can get out of it.

But yeah, I still don't see why someone who disliked Fallout 3 would spend much time discussing the sequel.  Seems like showing up to a friends party and hour early and whining about what crappy parties they put on.  It's a free country, but that doesn't make it less of a douche move.  Keep douching, I suppose.

dude it NMA and RPG codex kneejerks, they sent death threats to bethesda years ago and now the police has their location

Fallout 2 was crap and they hated it, now they love it more than ever, Pillars was a good game, and they hated it because it wasn't Baldur's gate

It its just a bunch of false entitled nerds wearing rose tnted glasses at its finest, probably they watch TBBT and loves Zack Snyder movies

  8. Ok, I say it too. The base building looks ok. But really, it's nothing I want from a Fallout *RPG* ... This thing right now to me looks more like a post apocalyptic Minecraft with better graphics and ****ty dialogue.

says the guy who led the death threats years ago

and who is raging on MMA along with dutch

  9. -They got Vats right

-****ING APA ingame(so it means that We will have enclave and BOS remnants allied

-3 Vertbird variants(classic transport, Cargo and offensive)

    -A PROPER HOUSE BUILD

    -They got PA right

-i accept jump packed power armors, since someone modded that before

Ok, how long until the Fallout 2 shiites here, on RPG ****hole and No jerks allowed starts sending death threats to bethesda once again, this time they know where you live and the fbi + swat is up there ready to arrest with proofs from the last attempt

  10. problem is: you're not supposed to (or, rather, shouldn't) play Fallout in third-person  :p

screw that, i would even play it as platform

also, im old enough to say that the same bitching with fallout 3 and NV is the same bitching that everyone did with Fo2 and FoT, and i still hate fallout 2 main storyline

it looked like someone named richardson, decided to took out one Commander Cobra's rejected plans to see if it works
