  1. Hey everyone,

From now, each time I want to eat my fav meal, I have to put it in a quick item slot to do so.

I find this pretty odd and I have to switch items everytime I want to eat a meal, cause nobody is going to keep these in quick item slot, right ?

So please make it possible that when we are out of combat we can use any consumable items. Thanks.

    Regards.

  2.

Also, for people wanting Baldur's Gate II loading times... you got it. And in 10 years you can laugh too as they pass in a nano-second. They sure as hell didn't do so in 2000.

You didn't have to wait to walk into a store, inn, or private home either. The reason those load times were so long was because they loaded the entire map all at once. That PoE can't seem to do this baffles me.

True, lots of awesome features that where in BG series are inexistent here, so sad.

  3. Hey everyone !

Just a little suggestion wich could facilitate our lives while going to any vendor :

    - Make any item stackable in vendor's inventory

    - Items we sell go down the inventory and not up as it is now

Simples features that where in BG series that are lacking here.

For now, when we go to a vendor and sell a "lot", and I mean "A LOT" of scrap stuff, the vendor list item get nearly impossible to manage and finding what the vendor was originaly selling become a pain in the ***.

    Thanks for paying attention.

  4. My conclusion in the subject is that if some people believes that the lack of walking in a game where walking is needless affects the inmersion, then the inmersion word has been completely distorted.

Inmersion is not about being realistic, consistent or with x or y feature. Inmersion is about being abstracted of the real world. Tetris is a game that is most inmersive than many games and you cannot walk. If people believes that walking makes the game more inmersive, then think it twice and think if the reason you feel better is having a better inmersion or having a whim granted.

That is just your opinion man.

Fact is so many people come on some thread they have nothing to do just to flame and arass other people, go get a therapist and be off.

Walking/running as been in every RPG for a long time, you can't bear that ? We don't give a ****

  5.

I uninstalled until they put it in. How is it a 5 year olds answer that npcs can walk

    And the player cannot?

How? Because saying "He has it so I want it too!!" Is the way a 5 year old acts.

Now the whole "it helps my immersion" thing i can respect if not really get. I mean really, stop playing a game just for THAT? Sounds to me like you just don't like the game and looking for a reason to stop, because if nothing else in the game grips you then walking probably wont either

Lol, really, threatening evryone to be a five year old just because he use simple logic is awesome, internet is awesome, you are awesome.

  6. -  A new set of weapon appeared from 1.03 on every of my character, hand fighting ! While switching between my 2 regulars set of weapons, a third one appear, hand fighting, ense I don't have 3 set but still, it appear as "III".

    - I noticed a weird graphical bug when looting, now the last thing I looted appear on the next loot as "animation going into chest", look like an odd lag or something.

  7. I really dislike so many mechanics in this game, the bugs don't help either. However I still find it engaging and interesting to play.

Possibly it's because shortly after development started and the "Sawyering" of the game was announced I read it all and fully assumed the game would turn out as complete and utter garbage. I distanced myself from all further info and waited patiently till release. Now it is released, and I find myself annoyed by all the streamlining much less than I expected to. No battle experience? Classes that feel super similar with just a handful of feats being unique to classes, doubled by the fact that everyone can use anything? Unlimited inventory? Idiotic resting system where they made a giant fuss about how offended they were by people resting in IE games and then made a system where you have extremely limited supplies but if you don't give your casters Athletics they get fatigued three fights in, making you go back to town? Very few in-world skill checks with every skill other than mechanics, and mechanics so prevalent that you have to crab-walk everywhere with the double speed on because there are secrets everywhere? This list can go on and on and I'm not even touching the world or the story. Thing is - I expected it to grate me much more than it does.

However, there's still a number of things that I do like. And the game is generally enjoyable to play. Provided you beforehand abandon the thought that it is a successor to IE games, and look at it with 0 expectations of anything good. It's a decent RPG. I like decent RPGs. They can't all be masterpieces with nigh unlimited customization that will be played 10-15 years later and remain a constant occupant of so many hard drives.

What Josh Sawyer can't seem to grasp is that imballance was ultimately what made those old games so compelling and replayable. Be it by giving you enough options to write a PhD on min-maxing it, or playing a suboptimal character and triumphing over adversity.

But I digress. He has his tenets of game design, I have my issues with them. At the end of the day - he's the professional here and despite my problems with it, I find Pillars enjoyable.

Still wish it was better, though.

    +2

  8.

I am currently waiting. Not because I can play avoiding some bugs but more because I think this game's content is valuable enough that I really want a great first playthrough experience. And these bugs currently really prevent me from having that really awesome experience that I want, which I believe the game cán provide once some of the high priority bugs are gone.

So, I rather wait for now and play some other games, I have some fun RolePlaying Reign of Kings too, also very buggy game but its still in alpha so I can just toy around xD

Yep, same feeling, apart poorly codded mechanics and weird design choice we can feel that something epics is in here and like you I will wait.

I hope a toolkits for modding will be released at some point, because that way we will not be restrained no more and will be able to play the way we want, cheers to the creativity of all the players community.

PS: I have tried RoK and after 10 min of gameplay someone ropped my neck and dragged me arround for minutes, then attached me to some wood structure to cut my head of, end of the experience.

  9. Make this post sticky for cry sake

I will keep calm but I have a different definition of game breaking. Sure I admit not all of the listed bugs in this page are game breaking.

But the one that is definitely game breaking is the bug when you load a savegame you have a change that one of your companions, even yourself in certain conditions gain permanent stats. which results in the character slowly becoming a superhero and for me, who wants to play this game on hard difficulty and face challenging content. This is game breaking for me.

Hence, I am currently not playing the game and waiting for the patch before continueing. Or possibly restarting the game if the bug is fixed but doesn't revert the changes in current savegames.

I am totally in the same position.

  10. Prebuffing was one of the worst things in IE games.

    Just your opinion man.

That said, for my opinion ;), they should have adressed this to mobs, difficulty and AI.

    Not on limitation uppon player.

I am really feeling as the OP, betrayed at some point with restrains on all freedoms IE games had.

Yes you could abuse those freedoms, but hey, aren't we supposed to play the way we want ? Now there are no turn arround and we are stucks with mechanics that really give a "restrains" feeling as the Op explained well.

Adding limitations on the player where you could be more creative uppon the univers arround is really a shame at some point.

  11. Hey guys,

As my saves as been doomed by the "item stats bug", I am forced to start a new game, the problem is there is so much bug when you look to Tech Support forum that I fear my second playthrought will be rigged to avoid those bugs and finally feeling the whole game like a pain.

The numbers of bugs is so impressive that my rationnal thinking simply tells me to wait, how are your feeling about that ? Do you feel safe when using an item  ?(Cypher bug)

Are you making a lot of save to be able to not loose 20 hours gamplay because of bad design and bad codding ?

    Cheers
