I used handmaiden for her neat hand-to-hand attacks and alternated between kreia (for buffs) and atton (for ranged support) for the most part.
I was a sentinel, so I had all the skills I needed. Bao-dur never got off the ebon hawk, likewise G0T0. And Mira. And Hk47 (a shame, that).

in terms of story, TSL beats the original kotor hands down!

...no Mira Well.. They're both great games, but sure enough, you can tell who made them. I just played through K2 for the first time and thought I'd share some reflections.
Kotor1 is kinda like BG2, with a grand storyline, romances shoved in your face, a true bad guy to work against et cetera. Entertaining for most.
Kotor2 is much like Planescape: Torment (too much, almost).
PST: You awake at the morgue.
K2: You awake next door from the morgue.
PST and K2: You have no idea what has happened, but something in your past has made you uberpowerful. It is your quest to find out exactly what happened.
PST and K2: You really don't know what is going on, you just do what the last story person told you.
PST and K2: No real nemesis to focus on. It is hard to pull off this kind of storytelling.
PST: and K2: There is an old crone somewhere that knows a lot about you.
PST and K2: You are betrayed by someone whom you thought you could trust. Probably multiple times.
PST and K2: In the end, you wander off alone into a great battle.
I could point out the similarities in companions, but I'll leave that as an exercise for the reader. All in all, a very personal storyline.
I didn't appreciate PST until my second or third time through. Too bad Peragus station is so boring to run through :/

Who's to say that religion has all the answers? Would you mind if I wash with Moslem soap? Or my own soap?
I believe people in general are good at heart, and that they don't need fundamental laws to bind them into certain ways of acting. There is a measure of social egoism that drives us. If I help you today, you might help me tomorrow. If you dont help me tomorrow, I might not help you again. If I give to charity, I will feel better with myself, since I know that helping others is something _I_ value. I do not need to be told this. There is rationality in helping others.
Through my eyes, everyone are equal (even religious people - I respect their views IRL), which is more than can be said of most religions. Everything that promotes inequality promotes conflict and violence.

Minor correction: Sol doesn't have enough mass to go super nova. It will, however, go nova. It will still wipe out the earth and most of the solar system when it does go nova.
Another minor correction:
Before it goes nova, it will have become a red giant, expanding out and swallowing the earth. :D

I just thought Teras Kasi was something they put into SWG to have martial arts-monks with wierd names. You cannot have unarmedmasters without psycho names.

The drake equation (a tool for guessing the amount of alien civilizations in our galaxy) has a variable L, which means the average lifetime of a civilization.
How long is such a lifetime? Do increased technological advances pose a threat when social and humanistic advances stagnate?
Only time will tell. However, if we let money be the ultimate motive to everything we do, we will burn in about 5 billion years when the sun swallows our planet. Space exploration isn't economical (unless we stripmine Mercury and Mars).

IG-88 is a famous bounty hunter droid, who was hired by the empire to search for the millenium falcon in TESB (yep, he's in the movie, for about a second or so).
I think he tried to hi-jack the second death star as well.

Heh.. When the guys in my battlefield clan hang at the pub, we call each other our net nicks. I know what they're called IRL, but it's easier to use the "call signs". They're Bard, Thermos, Blast, Holy (and so on) to me.

Seems the troops at TheForce.net were right - despite the Lucasfilm defense attack - there is indeed something going on in terms of "Star Wars" sequels.A couple of months back the site heard that Lucasfilm employees had been asked to sign a confidentiality agreement which stipulated that they had to stay zipped about Episodes 7, 8 and 9 - a sequel trilogy that would take place following the events of "Return of the Jedi".
Lucasfilm were quick to debunk the claim.
This week however I've talked to two very, very reliable insiders - one studio based, another connected to the cast of the original films - who claim that Lucas is indeed going to be doing the three sequels. "They're happening. They're already happening", one said "The three films are all in various stages of development as we speak. They're keeping them quiet for the meantime I believe, but Lucas has four more Star Wars films to deliver to Fox".
It's common practice for everyone to keep their mouths shut until its time to officially announce something apparently.
A few weeks back it was suggested - on IESB - that the sequels might actually be animated films, which would make sense, but we couldn't confirm that.

Well.. Some characters I couldn't really care less about. T3-M4 or whatever the garbage can is called. He'd better have something of a personality this time instead of just "blip, bleeeeeep, blep-blip, blooop".
Canderous was boring. His final dialogues indicated somewhat of a change of character to the better, or going neutral at least. He might have something to say in k2, but I'm not holding my breath.
Jolee, was interesting enough, but very frustrating. Like Jan Jansen in BG2. "My old pappie used to boil them turnips, but old grampy bones blah blah blah". If he died during the 5 years, I'm not crying.
Bastila, I'm sure we will find close to Revan.
Mission would be nice to have back, 5 years older. It must be those head-tails wiggling.
Zaalbar, I hope, is back on Kaazhyyk and will remain there.
Juhani could, at best, be a merchant in k2. Or a murder victim, and you have to find the murderer.
Carth will probably be around telos and his sith kid.

I have an '86 Saab 900. Got stolen once, the locks are crap.
Anyway, it failed some test at the car test (besiktning in Swedish) so I'm kinda forbidden to drive it now. I might get around to fix it some day, but I'm quite comfortable with the bus.

Lazy me, I didn't download the mp3 (33.5k modem), but it seems mark hamill talks episode 7-8-9 on the new DVD release, but whether or not those plans are still around, the text didn't say.

Double bladed saber was cool once, and that was in the hands of Maul. His savagery matched the saberstaff style. It's very darksidey, IMO.
After saberstaffs became common carp in every starwars game, it just lost it's neatness.
Single saber. Like Obi-wan said, a weapon for a more civilized time. More finesse.

I think obsidian uses both endings, depending on what you choose in the beginning of the game. They've said this much.
But I don't know.

I think we need lightsaber pikes, lightsaber nunchaku (sp?), lightsaber swordbreakers, lightsaber those-hooked-thingies-they-use-in-croughing-tiger-hidden-dragon, lightsaber broken beerbottles and lightsaber throwing daggers.
Maybe lightsaber bayonets to stick to your blaster rifles?

The star forge robes looked good on a female revan. I never really tried them on a male one.

The swedish team was carp. We've seen time and again what good all our dollarstars are when playing together (or at least pretending to).
Beaten by belarus, says it all.
I prefer watching the Swedish elite series instead of world championships, olympics and world cups.
At least there, the teams play for the team, because they enjoy the hockey, not because it is their main way of getting money.

I'm with Hades.
It was really obvious that Revan would make an appearance in the game, with all the load screens shoving revan/bastila battle info in your face. Like that information needed to be learned.
And then Bastila dodging questions about it.
Saul said to malak "There's something else. About bastila's other companion" imlying that Malak would care enough to hear of me, meaning that there was a relation.
Still, the plot twist was nice.

He should have been more menacing. The shyte-for-brains he sent were wimps ("Lord Malak was most displeased" blah).
And he should have had hair. And maybe sideburns hangning down over the jaw prosthesis (sp?). B)

Not to mention people referring to revan as female here, male there, then female again..
K2 was a good game, but the storytelling was a bit... wierd.
Darth Nihilus (or what's his name) can kill an entire planet worth of people, but not detect his own apprentice and a Jedi boarding, even while Nihilus' only agenda is hunting Jedi? Even Malak had the brains to set traps and choose the place of battle, and Malak wasn't the brightest of Sith.
I felt somewhat cheated storywise. Before playing K2, I didn't think I'd ever say this, but I'd probably prefer a Destroy-Generic-Superweapon-of-the-Month kind of story. At least those have tension built for the epic battles. Maybe I'm just mainstreamy. I liked PS:T, but that setting was far more suited for that kind of story.
K1 was great in this perspective, since it was a superweapon kind of story AND had a very nice twist, even though I saw it coming.
