  1. I took a look at an ongoing adventure.

What seems to happen is that when an adventure is in process the adventurer is listed as assigned in the top-right corner but has the ASSIGN button present directly under the text saying he is assigned, and pressing the button cancels the assignment and hence the adventure.

In other words, either the button shouldn't be present while the companion is on the adventure or it should say RECALL rather than ASSIGN.

Maybe this is the case. But at least until I reload save or something else that triggers this bug happens, I see the RECALL button and sent hireling name above it. When the bug happens I see ASSIGN button but no name above it.

  2. It happens like that: new adventure appears - I assign a hireling (I only assigned them) - some time after (but definitely before adventure ends and after loading a save game made after I assign someone to adventure) I look at Actions tab and see that adventure with "assign" button again - I press it and adventure just disappears and hireling is free. No rewards, no reports in log.

  3. Got relatively safe solution here. I've no idea, why it is me, humble user, and not some Obsidian official doing this :banghead:

    1) use console (` key), enter "iroll20s" to enable cheats

    2) enter "SetGlobalValue b_Angry_Dozens 1", "SetGlobalValue b_Angry_Knights 1" and "SetGlobalValue b_Angry_Doemenels 1" to anger corresponding factions

    3) go speak with lady Webb

    4) Profit!

Thank you! Do you have proper commands to restore previous values after I get invitaion?

  4.

Well, even just a 17.6% decrease in attack speed time would result in a 21.6% increase (because of how math works) in dps against 0 DR enemies.  Of course, we never fight 0 DR enemies.

And, I may get different results for different weapons.  We'll see.

Sorry, but it still seems like bull****. Those differences I mean. Because in actual ingame fights there are just too many factors that negate those pitifull speed bonuses you get. It could mean smth at least if there were any common sense in default weapons speeds. Just for example, like you could shoot at least 2 arrows from average bow while you can shoot only one bolt form average crossbow during given time. Cause bows and crossbows have obvious speed diffences. Like dagger and great sword. Etc.But what we have ingame makes no real differences whatsoever. Interruptions alone totally negate them, and there are so much more...

What I'm trying to say, is that % thing totally doesn't work here, until those % are really huge for different weapon classes. For example 10 dex makes your attack speed 50%. 14 dex makes it 100%, 18 dex - 150% etc And plus weapon's own speed defaults. Like what I said above - 100% speed for bow means 2 arrows, while 100% for crossbow is only 1 bolt for the same time. I guess you get the idea.

The speed system we have right now is tottally useless when used in actual game with all other ingame conditions and needs to be reworked. All these calculation you made totally approve this.

  5. I've been testing various builds and I can't really see any difference between attack speed with fast-slow weapons. What's more, getting as much as 20 dexterity makes absolutely no difference too. That +30% attack speed in character stats is just text - all characters are still epic slowpokes. Well. maybe some are slow and others are even slower... Is this really how is supposed to be? Ofcourse this is not a D&D on infinity Engine, but still this fells very-very strange. When a wizard with average dexterity attacks with the same speed as rogue with 20+ dexterity it seems like there is no point at all in building fast characters - they are just not fast whatver you do. Lol, sometimes caster manages to cast two spells faster than that rogue makes two attacks.Really???

PS when searching before didn't get any result, now the needed thread is up so i'm going there http://forums.obsidian.net/topic/72272-combat-mechanics-attack-speed-recovery/

  6. Wiped them out too. You could do some quests for them before doing so - some exp and money. Also that lady on the second floor could sell you some items.

Also I did a quest for her - "Hard Feelings", letting that guy go and the quest seemed finished. But during the fight I've got a message, that this quest failed.

And also there was a message that quest "The Changing of the Guard" failed too, but I think I didn't even start that one. I think it was connected to house head.
