  1. So I backed PoE way back and after about 2 hours at launch, literally did not get back to it till a week ago.

     

    I am about halfway through and enjoying the story.  However with an eye to my next run I am looking at various character builds to try out.

     

    Many of them point to 'find item X at location Y.'  I just want to make sure, in just about all cases you cannot find specific gear (barring boss drops or quest rewards) because the game now has random loot correct? 

  2. I fired up the app on my ipad as before, it had been a while but I never deleted the app so I expected to find my saves there.

     

    The options are: START. Continue is grayed out. Are my collections (paid content) also gone? I had quite a bunch of purchased and saved chests I never opened. Where did they go?

     

    Where's my content and games please? How to access? I do not see the "connect" option that I believe accessed the servers in the past. Where did the saves get moved to?

     

    I never recieved any notifications of any pending changes.

  3. Select discard pile. Game shows cards. ALL ARE SELECTED. CANNOT:

    Select one.

    Select none.

    Drag.

    Move.

     

    The only valid button..is to skip getting the benefit.

    Note any time something bad happens, not ONCE has the game ever skipped it.

    Forum bug: added screen shot 3x forum won't add it.

    First card...Shadow.  

    Second card...Shadow.

    Third card...Shadow.

    Fourth card...Shadow.

    Fifth card...oops she dead now. 

     

    No way to customize her deck otherwise I'd drop Cure for a damage spell for a 1 in 15 chance of having a magic trait for when you run into the same monster 5 turns in a row. Customize deck no longer shows all common cards as it did before. It only shows the same crap set they start her with (all slashing vs. skeleton / magic only heavy decks)

    ​ If you go to settings in game and turn tips off the pop ups should be supressed.

    ​Can you call out which instances the tut pops are locking your game? This is the first I've seen this reported.

    Settings is NOT selectable.

    NM did a full delete and reinstall. Utter joy at crap network speeds because iOS had redl the update again. Spend more time reporting bugs and trying to fix them for hours...for maybe a few minutes of play.

     

    Thanks for the help at least you folks monitor the forums.

  6. Now help pop ups always appear. These pop ups cannot be dismissed and NOTHING else is selectable.

    As I bought this game and already know how to play the pop-ups (tap here to look at a card) at not needed at best and game halting (because you can't do anything) at worst.

     

    How do you turn them off? Remember they appear the moment the game starts and nothing else is selectable. Not menus, setup, nothing.

     

    On another note: 10d8, 4d6: 1 1 2 1 1 1 2 1 2 1 1 1 1 1....really?

  7. Encounter boss that generate Sinspawn (Erylium).

    Defeat Sinspawn. (2 checks)

    Game gets greeked graphics bug and a second Sinspawn is summoned. (2 more checks)

    Defeat Sinspawn.

    Game gets greeked graphics bug and a third Sinspawn is summoned. (2 more checks)

    Defeat Sinspawn.

    Game gets greeked graphics bug and a fourth Sinspawn is summoned. (2 more checks)

     

    All in the same location...all against the same lone character.  Never managed to actually fight the boss.

     

    Any way to fix this? 

     

    Did a reset, quit to main menu, view vault, etc...still same bug. Lost the hours worth of play...and on a worknight that's a huge bite of my free time wasted (esp since I restart after the first 3 snake eyes in a row).

  8. I was swapping the magic weapons between characters and noticed that one had lost an ally. No worries, I'll just hit the arrow and add another basic ally.

     

    To my surprise everything else that is in the pool is immediately deleted and lost and you cannot go back to that screen.

     

    Kind of annoying, I'm sure deathbane will drop all the time...right?

     

    Fix or workaround please? TY.

  9. I see people posting about the best characters, but what about the lower tier, more difficult characters? I'd like to see what people think are the harder characters because I continually see people posting about how hard this game is. Perhaps figuring out who the lower tier characters are would help in developing strategies that use these characters effectively so newer players know how to utilize their party to their fullest.

     

    Please pick four or five characters YOU think are the most difficult, and (if you would like) post why you think they are low tier.

    Qualifier: hardest solo or in team?

     

    I went with solo.

     

    To be successful there are several factors:

    Making checks.

    Card cycling.

    Encounter deck acceleration.

    Intel.

    Recovering from bad RNG.

     

    The issue with Valeroes and Amiri is that they are too focused. They will shine in weapons combat...and not much else. And facing magic only or arcane only, divine only. etc...checks , you are done.

     

    There no point on winning every combat check...if you cannot make that arcane or divine check to close a location.

     

    Does a character have a way to go through encounter decks faster?

    Does the character have a method to know what is coming?

     

    For example, IMO the best soloer is Kyra, then Seelah. Kyra can make a broad range of checks and has enough item and ally slots to address some weaknesses such as barriers, dex checks, etc...once Kyra picks up Augury, she now has a way to sort and scout ahead in an encounter deck. Plus she can face undead that require magic to defeat from day 1 with a innate bonus to her check. And she can stock a cure spell to recover cards if she hits a bad RNG streak...and make no mistake YOU will. Note if you play Kyra solely as a healer, than she is not being fully used. All divine cards for her are healing. That means you could load her up with Inflict spells which gives her a decent combat check, and if she fails to recharge, then discard either a divine spell/blessing, etc. to get multiple cards back.

     

    Seelah can make regular combat and divine checks. She cannot defeat magic banes which puts her slightly behind Kyra IMO at start. However she can add 1d6 to any check, and with Crusade so can zip through an encounter deck and get them closed much faster, giving you breathing room to go through the remaining ones with time to spare. When she gets a magic weapon, her life is good and she'll pass Kyra.

     

    Lem is good because he can make arcane and divine, plus always start with a weapon, and have allies/items to addresses weak points...but his class power works with a group.

     

    Seoni is fair, but she doesn't start with enough spells to benefit from her auto-recharge and her alternate attack powers discards cards u will need later and she has zero methods to recover from discards.

     

    So best duo is probably Kyra and Seelah. You will almost never die, you'll know what's coming and can even change them, plus you can zip thru encounter decks at high speed.

  10. Seelah Inspire.

    First four uses all draw weapons, then her Cure Spell.

    Had other healer cast Cure twice (because 1d4+1 = 2 each time).

    4 more uses of inspire needed because no weapon.

    Again draw the same weapons and cure.

     

    I can accept that. But what I find amazing is that not only was it the same cards lost it was the exact same sequence. Could we have the card randomizer looked at?

     

    Cannot retry because all checks to recharge Cure (3d12+2, 3d8+2) failed.

  11. Playing Valeros and Amiri.

    First bane: Specter. No magic, cannot defeat.  Also scenario spawns another monster.

    Second bane: Siren.  Insuff wisdom, cannot defeat.  Also scenario spawns another monster. No blessings in hand. 

    Third bane: Shadow. No magic, cannot defeat.  Also scenario spawns another monster.

    4th bane: Boss, spawns another monster, spawns Sinspawn, which spawns another monster. 

    Boss fled to Location that does 2 mental which cannot be reduced when you draw a blessing. Drew 3 in a row. No armor to banish/bury.

    Forfeited at this point. 

  12. Quest mode.

    Lem at one location. Valeros at another.

    Lem's turn.

    Before draw encounter deck, cast Stride.

    Does NOT allow you to choose character, only location. Select location.  Lem moves, NOT other character per text of card.

     

    Second time waited until drew from encounter deck, now Stride is not castable.

    End of turn, cast Stride same result, cannot choose character, only self. 

  13. I just had to forfeit another game.

     

    Running Lem and Valeros.

     

    These are all the checks:

     

    Vs. Goblin Lose 1 card before action. Combat roll: d10 = 1

    vs. Pit Dex check d8 = 1

    vs. Shadow Roll 2d10+2 = 1+1+2 = 4

    Roll Cure spell 1d4+1 = 1+1 = 2 Rechage 2d10+2 = 1+2+2 = 5.

    vs. Enchantress lose 1 card. roll d10 +1d4 = 2+1 = 3 

    vs. goblin roll 3d4 = 1+1+1, discard 7, bury 1. Lem down to 1 card in library.

    Boss.  4d10+1d4+2, target 11, roll = 1+1+1+2+2+2 = 9

     

    At this point had to forfeit.  

    For the life of me I cannot figure what tactics would have worked better.  So how to improve the odds?
