  1. I have a few mods that add subclasses or change the classes of the companions (like making Eder Unbroken/Streetfighter). Now I was thinking of starting up a new character and test some new mods - in particular, making Eder a Stalker/Unbroken. My question is, if I swap out one mod for the other, will the new mod interfere with levelling an Eder started with the old mod, or is this a thing that's fixed as soon as you recruit the character and select their class combination?

  2. I've noticed that some spells with long casting times (most notably for me is Ninagauth's Shadowflame) will sometimes eat up two standard actions. It seems to be linked to the casting beginning in one round and finishing in the next, thus costing me both the standard action for beginning the cast, and the standard action when it finishes. Is this a bug or a feature? If it's supposed to be that way it seems a bit harsh.

  3. I have the auto-pause function set to pause before a character finishes casting a spell/ability with "long casting time". However, the game auto-pauses when a character is about to finish ANY ability, even the ones that are practically instantaneous. While not game breaking by any means, it's pretty annoying and makes it hard to manage combat properly with the constant pausing and un-pausing.

  4. I just started my infiltration of Arkemyr's manor only to discover that the robes don't work as a disguise. I've gotten the clue about using them from Fassima, and the corresponding journal entry. I've snuck into his sleeping quarters, stolen the robes from the closet and put them on, just as always, but both the iron constructs and the imps act as though I'm not wearing any disguise at all. The dialogue entry where you use the "cider and cheese" passphrase to convince them you're Arkemyr never shows up in the text, and constructs go hostile immediately upon detecting me.

  5. Can anyone tell me the (approximate) AoE of the Flames of Devotion upgrade that gives fire damage to your allies? I'm thinking about taking it for my Arcane Knight, but he mostly stays in the back ranks with spells and ranged support, so I don't know if it's worth it.

And while I'm here, how about the radius for several other paladin abilities that affect your allies, like the Deflection bonus from downing an enemy and so on? I was thinking maybe it was linked to the AoE of the aura abilities, but that seemed overly optimistic. Anyone have a clue?

  6. I just started a new character with Patch 3.01, and discovered that the fragments of the BotEP do not appear in my cabin after the first conversation with the gods. I'm using the same save import as I always do, which means the fragments should be there. I know they appeared as normal after patch 3.0. I have a few mods installed, but only ones that give subclasses to Eder, Pallegina and Aloth and one that reduces XP gain. Played with those the last time as well (under 3.0) and the fragments appeared.

I have made a topic about this on reddit and got this response

I just found that the daughter of one of those feuding families in Neketaka (the one who hires you to find her brother) can now be pickpocketed for a Healer's Sash and one more item. Also, the quartermaster in the Brass Citadel now has a Ring of Overseeing.

I'm the guy who gave that response on Reddit, and so far those items are pretty much what I've found. I started a new playthrough with Loaded Pockets enabled and I've been faithfully going through the pockets of every named NPC so far in the campaign. I also haven't noticed any difference in loot drops beyond the normal variations. I have to say, unless there's some subtle thing I'm missing this appears to be an extremely underwhelming Blessing for its cost of 12 points.

Time to update this thread :)

    • New Berath's Blessings - New Berath's Blessings have been added into the game:
      • Loaded Pockets - NPC pockets are filled with more and rarer items.
      • Legendary Crew - 3 Veteran Sailors become available in the Kraken's Eye tavern, they are better than normal and cheaper than normal.
      • Discount Craftsman - Crafting and enchanting costs are reduced.
      • Mythical Discovery - Start with a Mythical Adra Stone in the prologue armoire (free upgrade from Legendary → Mythic Quality - also the only way to get Mythic beyond beating a Mega-Boss)

Is there anyone here with beta access who could tell us how much these Blessings cost?

  9. I've just been through the whole of Beast of Winter, and I never found the Twin Eels unique greatsword. I was hoping someone could please tell me what I missed, because to a compulsive completionist like myself this is like a stone in my shoe. I remember there being a flooded area in the lower right-hand corner of the throne room in the Sunken Kingdom (?) that I couldn't reach; if that is it, how do I get there?

Any help would be very much appreciated.

  10. My character (Island Aumaua Goldpact Paladin/Soulblade) keeps turning invisible in combat. I'm not completely sure, but it seems to happen whenever the special ability armour bonus the Goldpacts get from Sworn Enemy ends due to being struck too many times. The entire character model disappears, leaving only the green circle around his legs and the weapon(s) he's wielding floating in thin air. As soon as combat ends, or I re-activate Sworn Enemy, the model pops back in.

  11. I can't remember the exact order if you want to do all involved quests, but if you just want to make the families stop fighting, talk to the Bardatto woman and ask her about reconcilliation, then to the Valera guy and talk him into accepting a meeting, back to Bardatto, then back to Valera. If you want to do Bardatto's quest about the vault, I think you have to go and deal with the people in the Hole but not report back to her, as then she'll refuse to agree to anything besides murder, and instead get them to agree to a truce, but the time I managed to do that, it was by accident so I don't really remember.

You can report back to the Bardatto lady after overhearing the conversation in the Hole, and she'll reward you for that part of the quest. Then she wants you to go down into the vault and ambush the thieves when they show up; this is where I usually choose to go and negotiate a peace between them instead. I don't know for sure that proceeding with the vault burglary will lock out the peaceful negotiations-option, but I haven't taken the chance so far.

Oh, and remember to go speak to the heads of the two families separately after the peace talks have ended; they give you a unique weapon each when you do, even if the quest itself is listed as closed in the journal.

  12. I both love and hate Grieving Mother. I love her because she's an original and unusual character, her story arc is interesting and the "moral choice" (for lack of a better word) at the end of her personal quest is profound without being right or wrong.

On the other hand I hate her because using her forces me to read the interaction/dialogue text, which is atrocious. I have no idea who wrote it, but that person should have an editor permanently assigned to them to vet every word they get to put in the game. GM and Durance have this in common, their interaction texts are a horrible mash-up of run-on sentences, weird punctuation, incoherent rambling and disjointed narrative.
