  1. Another prominent Russian milblogger had a bad day. He is predicting that the historical events of 1917 will be repeating in a near future I never wished so much, that a Russian warmonger would be correct with his predictions

  4. am extreme disappointed in the uc davis protesters. owning the libs is the goal o' folks such as charlie kirk, an uneducated yutz who likely could not gain admittance to uc davis as a student. nevertheless, kirk managed to reveal young and s'posed educated liberals as intolerant, violent and woeful ignorant regarding the meaning o' free speech on a public university campus. outmaneuvered by charlie kirk and the proud boys? the protesters at uc davis should be embarrassed by how easily they were manipulated. is nothing subtle or clever 'bout charlie kirk's provocations. nevertheless, young libs insist on allowing themselves to be baited by obvious provocations after which they got the temerity to blame the school chancellor for their own lack o' impulse control. owned by charlie kirk and the proud boys? owned by charlie kirk and the proud boys again. HA! Good Fun!

  5. Yes, the specific crime he's being charged with matters very critically here, to note he's not being charged on the basis of the thousands of civilians tortured and killed by Russian forces in Ukraine. The ICC prosecutors clearly understand the legal distinction, even if others (some here in this forum, for example) don't understand this point.

  6. Everyone involved in making these two achievements needs to die, perferably in a very uncomfortable, painful way, something out of the medieval ridiculous executions book. To quote Lindsay Ellis: "Thanks, I hate it!"

  7. Having had some unexpected free time, I've finished some odds and ends that piled up over the lockdowns (which were, working on supply chain b2c transport systems, a tad stressful). Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., season 7: Well, it was a time travel season, so not all of the plot makes sense, but that also was not the aim. Much like with the preceeding sixth season, it is clear that the series was finished with season five, and every episode afterwards was just everyone having fun. Clearly where the writers of WandaVision got some ideas from, as Coulson and the crew travel through the decades in what is probably best described as a balls-to-the-wall whacky adventure. The title cards of the episodes match the theme it conveys. As far as the cast goes, Joel Stoffer and Clark Gregg, as per usual, totally own every scene they're in. Two of the absolute highlight of the season is an 80ies splatter episode with killer robots with Knight Rider sound effects and red running lights. One of them runs around and yells EXTERMINATE. It is titled The Totally Excellent Adventures of Mack and The D and features Clark Gregg as Max Headroom (it does make sense in context) and Deke becoming a pop star by writing 80ies hits before they actually came out. It's filled to the brim with fun 80ies allusions without it ever feeling obnoxious, but that is perhaps just my eternal infatuation with the decade I lived though my early childhood. Where's my Deke Squad cover album? Hello, Marvel! Come on. Like I said, this is just everyone having fun, at least until the final episode, which is probably one of the better series endings I've ever watched - it is arguably even better than what was probably intended as the series ending at the end of season five. Said it before, still stand by it, Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. is easily my favorite Marvel outing. Outside of the weaker first half of the first season (so, not recommended for anyone who cannot look past middling first introductions, or has problems with "Asian Mary Sue ladies" in a universe populated with Thor, Iron Man, Ghost Rider, sentient Androids, killer robots, super soldiers... well, you get my drift) this is just the perfect mixture of mystery, action and character interactions. It does feature the occasional pacing issue, but which series running for seven season does not? As always, Phil Coulson remains the best character in the MCU. Star Trek: Strange New Worlds, episodes nine and ten: Found myself not caring for either. The ninth episode, which is trying to be Alien(s) in Star Trek using the otherwise comical Gorn from TOS exemplifies the difference between what is actually a fairly decent nuTrek show and actual Star Trek. Arena makes a point beyond "Gorn bad", this here does not. In a way this is really similar to that one episode where someone tries to kidnap a child to prevent it from doing something that is necessary, which then just happens, with Captain Pike trying to stop it. An actual Trek series would have had a morality debate in that episode, and a more modern Trek show would include a request for asylum instead of an attempted kidnapping. Alas, actual Star Trek is as dead as the horse I'm beating here, so I'll just leave it at that. Yes, it was the best nuTrek series to date. It might actually be the best first season of any Star Trek show, if it actually was Star Trek, not nuTrek with a less obnoxious coat of paint thrown over it, and all the pandering in the series? No, sorry, can't stand it. It's perhaps not as bad as it appeared, but such things are highly subjective after all. La'An Noonien-Singh? You might actually be a nice character, but with that name you go into the same trash bin as Noonien Soong's great-great-great-great-great-great-grandfather and his identical looking son from Picard. The tenth episode is just a "what if?" alternate timeline exploration of The Balance of Terror. Kyouma Hououin would call Pike weak for giving up so easily. Well, that's how you end up with a saved Krisu in one series, and a soon to be mutilated Pike in another. Or whatever. Who cares. ** One new thing, Star Trek: Picard, season three, episode five. I was already a lot more negative towards what was basically an unneeded The Next Generation style Wrath of Khan remake (like I said, I have no idea how Mike and Rich can be so positive about this, outside of perhaps being grateful that Star Trek: Picard makes one not wanting to gouge one's eyes out, but that's clearly not a bar I am comfortable with setting for any Star Trek series) than others, and this episode just seals the deal further. Good thing this is finally over after this season.

  9. Oh yeah, I totally get such wouldn't be for music artists/professional mixers etc. But we're talking game streaming/playing. I think for just talking to other players, even a decent clip on would work as long as one is mindful re: arm/hand movement around it. One doesn't have to go even close to semi-audiophile for that purpose. The thing about the Yeti specifically even for that purpose tho, imo, is it is far too large/heavy (or plain not compatible) for most cheap mic stands/arms and didn't have much support of its own. So it's not very flexible in that regard, which streamers are likely to want because of myraids of desktop setups and room/couch configurations. I would not have bought it if I'd realized/noticed it was that large/heavy. >.>

  10. I don't think it's technically possible unfortunately. In the same fashion, it is impossible to get 1 handed bonus with fists (no way way to tell the game that you fight with one hand only )

  11. Yes in CP you get two weapon and dual wielding if actually dual wielding or using tuotilo. In vanilla FF isn't considered a weapon so it doesn't get any weapon bonuses. But fists never get one handed bonus. The +accuracy from transcendent suffering compensates though. BTW @Lapinouple personally I dont like godlike for this, their stat bonuses are bad and it prevents some very good helmets. The helm of the white void is particularly good since it gives +10 accuracy on forbidden fist attacks but rekvu's fractured casque is also super useful in some hard fights (like dorudugan). I think hearth orlan is the best, +2 perception is awesome, +1 resolve is great, and we don't max might so the -1 might doesn't matter. Resistsnce to resolve afflictions is also nice. Humans are also a good choice for stats plus fighting spirit. Dwarves are okay so you can dump dex to 2. My stats are basically max res, max per, 10 to 13 int, completely dump dex, 6 to 8 con, put rest in might. And this is optimized for light armors or DOC BP. With heavier armors you can increase dex to attack a bit faster or increase INT (i tend to go latter route). I find personally 13 INT is sweetspot if you can get resolve to 35 and have solitary wanderer ring + clarity/enlightened agony

  12. Yes, it works. You got it backwards: the Ghost Companion can engage others (Stalker's Link contains an additional engagement slot) - but it cannot be engaged BY others.

  13. I think you would be better off getting a separate/standalone mic. This is coming from me watching streamers and what they use, I don't have much personal experience, so take it with a grain of salt. You will always pay for the brand when getting any gaming headset.

  15. I started making videos of dungeons runs... the channel is called Dungeons of Deadfire. The difficulty is set to POTD, Expert mode, Level scaling up only, with six of the Magran's fires, and a personal goal of no knockouts. Each character has a maximum starting stat of 14 and a minimum of 10. It's a tankless party, unless you count the Monk. I chose Ancient Druid and Chanter for summons to counter the POTD and upscaling. I've just been playing this game so long that I decided to record, and now I've found I really enjoy making the videos. So far I just have a character creation video and two 'dungeons'. Next Dungeon is the Arena Sub-level of the Engwithan Ruins. Thank you!

  16. So I completed Kingdom Come:D after about 100 hours, I loved this game and its highly recommend if you want to play a Medieval RPG Its gets a solid 78/100 on the globally respected " BruceVC game rating system". I made several posts already on what is great and well done in this game but to summarize its makes a nice change to play a historically accurate Medieval RPG the skills advancement and perks makes sense and you get rewarded for using abilities in a realistic way the combat is fun and exciting, you really learn to appreciate how Combos work. The combat is one of the most endearing parts of the game I loved how activities like lockpicking and alchemy works. I enjoyed doing these mini-games right to the end, I didnt get bored once by the repetition I appreciated the open world design and how most quests you can do at your own pace Has anyone played the various DLCs, are they worth it? I hope they release a sequel because I will definitely be investing in it and well done to Warhorse for this RPG gem

  22. Kung Fury is absolutely glorious, and that includes the soundtrack. There could not be a better title track for Kung Fury than True Survivor. Still, there's always the option of making a cheesy power metal cover of the cheesy 80ies revival Hoff track:

  25. I did not watch the Oscars, but I guess Everywhere...All At Once won Best Picture and Michelle Yeoh won Best Actress. Good for her, happier about her win then the Best Picture thing. Naatu Naatu won Best Song which also pleases me, although the Academy's dance rendition of the piece was "meh." The Oscar's ratings went up a bit this time ... it was the 3rd worst in its history instead of 2nd worst.
