  1. Just got my first dose literally like fifteen minutes ago. I'll let y'all know if I die. They also gave me a bag of skittles for my trouble - they were giving them out for people who got the vaccine. Haven't had them in years, so there is that, .

  2. Oh no, I actually like them a bit too. My internal comparison was the Spectre Sisters, but funner and nicer to each other. Don't worry - it's not movies, it's just anime. What are they going to do, send catgirls to kill you? - Man ripped to shreds by catgirls

  4. Dang it, I was literally going to repost the Usagi Oh My God video I just made earlier after reading that. Also, I told you the English voice actor for him was creepy and uncomfortable! I don't think I've ever even heard the Japanese VA for him - hope it's not as bad. Luckily, I stick to the Sailor Moon Says channel where everyone seems to agree that Pegasus is a creep: >This horse needs to go to jail. >Jeez why is everyone trying to be cousins in this show. >Rini: How will I know he’s the one for me? Pedosus: 👁_👁 >creepy deep voice "What are you doing? You'll make a beautiful bride Rini." >If this is Utena instead the horse would be the bad guy.

  5. Nothing will ever beat the odyssey that was deciding to NOT build the Cyclops and instead just going full steam ahead with just the Prawn Suit to traverse the Lost River completely blind down into the Inactive Lava Zone. Best/worst decision I ever made, because it was so slow, and terrifying, and it was impossible to see where the hell I was supposed to be going. It was terrible, but also a great and unique experience. On a second playthrough, I built the Cyclops, and marveled how much easier, quicker, and safer that whole trek was.

  6. Given how bad the predator rape gang was, that's selling the Amazon Quartet short tbh. They're actually fun, like the Witches 5 but they work together. naughty barti! surely you don't want to recommend to Lexx to go their ?

  7. Serbia will soon start producing Sputnik V and Sinofarm vaccines on it's own. This is good news, not on an account that we are lacking in vaccines and need it because of that, but that this should jump start our pharmaceutical capabilities that were killed off during the early 2000s. Our research institute Torlak produced Polio vaccines that were so sought after and so complicated to make, it was exporting them during the embargo we had in the 90s.

  8. I'll let her know that she made someone jealous of her ability to give fictional pedophiles derogatory nicknames. @BartimaeusYou know what, the Sailor Moon Says dub is less creepy than the new dub. And it is still pretty damn creepy.

  9. Credit for Pedosus in this thread should be given to KP's fiancee, I think. I'm actually a little jealous because that rolls much easier off the virtual tongue than Creepasus.

  11. I haven't given up! I'm just scared since apparently the last 6 episodes are all main story episodes and that seems like more than should be allowed under the Geneva Conventions of War given the increasing appearances of Pegasus. The Fourth Geneva Convention, Part III, Article 32, Providing Excellent Guard Against Suspicious Ungulate Species, also known as the Pegasus Protocol, explicitly states that the involved parties... Japan signed the Geneva Conventions of War after 1953, so I'm not really sure how they got away with this one. Unfortunately, this article does leave a loophole where we can be violently subjected to extinct ungulates, so one does need to watch out for species such as steppe bison and the megaloceros, but fictional species are quite clearly covered by the Conventions.

  13. @ArtistFormerlyKnownasKP@BartimaeusDon't give up! I just watched one of the best episodes in the entire series. The next season will be better. A few more episodes (177-179). 177 was not bad, but the two that followed were much better. 178 179 @majestic I forgot to answer your question about the BDSM gear. First of all, I’m glad it was not the theme for the creeps last season.

  15. They're on Hulu and Crunchyroll. (Which was free for me) . Tho I don't know about international access so you may need a vpn. Edit: Nevermind, those are subbed. You can find Golden Wind dubbed on Hulu but episode access is sporadic. Cartoon Network strikes again. Oh, and more Sailor Moon. Episodes 155 and 156 I think, which means one or two more until Pedosus goes mask off.

  18. The art in Utena is really strange at first. It has some of the most gorgeous backdrops I've seen. They're really pretty, soft, and dreamlike. The characters on the other hand are a real contrast, sharply defined, standing out a bit from the backdrops. Usually, at least, there are times when the character are also presented like a watercolor painting, but that's going a bit too far now, and I haven't seen nearly enough to make any obersvations about what was intentional or just happenstance. The world itself has a technological level that's roughly at the mid 90ies of our time (digitla stopwatches, cars, modern sports, etc.) but at the same time is full of medieval imagery and mannerisms, like the duels, the castle, the academy itself which looks very much like a 17th/18th century European palace: The upside down castle and the duelling ring are inside the wood behind the buildings. It also has Utena slapping someone who touches her hair trying to "flirt" with her, so that was an instant win after Tuxedo Creep sniffing Usagi's hair in Crystal. Utena itself is also an interesting idea, while she's trying to emulate a fairy tale male role, she's still very much a girl (she even says so herself early on), not a woman who wants to be a man. She just wants a man's job, more or less (it' also very easy to infer her bisexual nature, just look at the image with her an Anthy, but it's not explicitly stated... not sure if it will be in the show itself - doesn't really matter either). Oh, and if you want to have another reason to watch: Rebecca Sugar said it was one of her favorites, and there are references in Steven Universe (but I guess that wiki list already told you that). edit: Oh, right, and because I was worried when I first read it, the episodes are all named Duel XX where XX is the epsiode number, but that does not mean every episode has a duel. But every duel does have a good deal of stock footage, but not to pad the runtime, that's an artistic choice this time.

  19. I suspect that a significant percentage of current public debt in US came from bailing out big companies, tax cuts, especially corporate ones, and projects with low return on investment like the border wall. The first two go by and large into dividends to shareholders, which means it is money that will never reach the broad economy, thus not affecting growth or wealth creation significantly. Infrastructure projects help a bit more, but the border wall was a good example of a project where the money doesn't go back into society, like schools, roads, hospitals, or pretty much whatever. As in everything, it is not so much the amount you spend but how you spend it.

  20. When I said Below Zero mainly just reminded me of how incredible the original Subnautica was, I wasn't joking. I'm on my third playthrough now. I've not done much, but I feel like the second I have a Moonpool, the game is already as good as beat.

  21. Her interaction with Makoto didn't bother me because I knew it would be over by the end of the episode and because Super S has given me very low expectations of the Sailors. Whelp I guess I'm glad to be associated with the panicked screams of a(n almost) 70 year old man as he encounters bizarre phenomenon that cracks his sanity in a quest to save his daughter and stop THE WORLD. It's better than Pedosus at least.

  22. I've been exploring a lot in Valheim and I'm barely making a dent in the map, the full world size is just so gargantuan. I can walk through the meadows and black forest biomes with impunity, nothing scares me there. I even recently meleed a 2 star troll (1 star enemies are stronger than usual, 2 star a way stronger). I'm only mildly concerned in the swamp and mountain biomes. In the swamp only blobs and oozes worry me and only if I don't drink my poison resistance mead. Nothing that does physical damage can get through my armor there. In the mountains I only fear stone golems, but they are easy enough to avoid/escape. The plains is the only biome where I have to be really careful. Loxes are easy enough; they can do a lot of damage but are a piece of cake to kite and go down from a half dozen or so arrows. Deathquitos can do a decent chunk of damage if I don't block with my shield and they get on top of you quickly, but I can 1-shot them with my silver sword. Fulings are relatively easy 1 on 1, but are quite dangerous in packs. Fuling berserkers are straight up frightening. I have some wacky ideas for a fortress and town to build, but I'm holding off until the Hearth & Home update arrives (hopefully soon) as that's sure to have some new building pieces. In the meantime, I'm trying to find the summoning altar of boss #4. I know it's a dragon and I've found dragon eggs in the mountains, so those are likely used to summon said boss and said boss is likely in a mountain biome somewhere.

  23. Sputnik is under EMA review. But Sputnik probably will not help EU any way as Russia don't have enough production capacity. Russia offered to Finland technology and patents to produce Sputnik here, but there isn't any realistic scenario where we could produce significant amount of doses before autumn

  24. EU aren't denying UK's access to vaccines they just setting new prioritization rules for export authorizations for vaccines which will drop UK down in prioritization list because they have their own vaccination production (which all go to domestic use) and they are ahead of most of the world. New rules would rise among other things South Africa and Brazil ahead of UK when it comes to export authorizations. But because UK relies in their strategy so much in vaccines produced in EU, these new authorization scheme will most likely slow down UK's vaccination program 2 months, if they aren't able to get vaccines from other sources, which looks unlikely considering that US and India have banned vaccine exports. UK doesn't want vaccines from China or Russia (who don't seem to have enough production currently capacity actually offer much help).

  25. For a single pistol build you want high ACC and action/reload speed. If pistol damage alone is your concern then Ranger is nearly a must imo - because of the accuracy bonuses and the Gunner ability + Driving Flight. As second class I'd recommend Beguiler (Borrowed Instincts is great and you can combine weapon damage and Deceptions for focus gain) or Troubadour (running Aefyllath + Sure-Handed Ila) since they both will improve your shooting but also provide a lot of other utility for the party. Which is more important than a smidge more pistol dps imo. They also don't have full attacks so a single pistol doesn't induce the "but I'd rather use those full attacks with two weapons" thought. Devoted also works - but you need to get Eccea's Arcane Blaster asap because there will be enough pierce resistant/immune enemies later on and you don't want to switch to a non-pistol since it will give you -10 ACC which hurts in combination with the pistol modal. I'd recommend getting the blaster anyway - but with Devoted it's even more important. A Wizard will not improve your shooting much. But a Wizard should provide a lot of other options for a party. If you still want to buff up your shooting damage with a Wizard you should look at the Essential/Substancial Phantom. It will get all your gear, including your weapon. It will not have One-Handed Style and will not use the modal or any of your abilites - but it will get the +12 ACC from single handed usage and will use all passive gear enchantmens. Then it's two guys firing their pistols, not only one. If you use Scordeo's Trophy with the ranged enchantments then phantom can get to really nice shooting speed after a while. If you meet very high DR foes then two Eccea's Arcane Blasters are better than one obviously. I played a Debonaire/Beguiler with single pistol. No extra speed buffs but the combination of charm + crit conversion made the lower ACC a lot less impactful right from the start. Since a Beguiler doesn't need to deal damage to gain focus it wasn't a big deal that shooting charmed enemies with almost guaranteed crits won't give you focus - but deal good damage. Scordeo's Edge has an enchantment that lets crits do extra damage. Mind Control is always good. And if you can finish off a charmed enemy with a Devastating Blow + crit that's cool. Or a charm-crit with Disintegration. It's not about the shooting dmg in the first place but since Debonaire is a Rogue the shots still have oomph. There's lots of options. But get Eccea's.

  26. The Federal government has its powers, the states have theirs. They should be able to coexist as long as each stays on their side of the street. But governments are made up of people. Grasping, venal, selfish, self righteous, duplicitous, and, as often , honorable, honest, and good intentioned. But most of all ignorant. The biggest failure of government is that it exercises tremendous powers over things it does not understand. The one quality all politicians seem to share is hubris. They genuinely believe because they were the least objectionable candidate on the ballot that one day they are now qualified to make laws about things that are outside their education and experience. At times they are not even qualified to understand who is an expert and who isn’t. Some things obviously are no-brainers. But how does a run of the mill congressman know a good tax policy when one expert tells them one thing and another something different? I guess I can talk about this now since I am no longer a employee of the state. I wrote a couple of papers for a sub committee of the state assembly regarding a proposal for dry fertilizer use. The problem with these people was not that they didn’t have good intentions. They were trying to do a good job but they did not understand the most important concept: water solubility. Government decisions are made without wisdom or understanding as often as not. It’s why I always say it's better when they do nothing.

  28. It's not that the world is competely free of what could be seen as typical surrealist imagery, but it's mostly concentrated in the duelling ring. The duels are fought atop an unsupported spiral staircase underneath an upside down floating castle: Not really spoilers because first episode basic stuff: The duels themselves are fought to first blood, or at least Utena's version of first blood. Both duelists attach a rose to their lapel, and the aim is to cut the opponent's rose while protecting your own. Utena finds herself getting into one of the duels on accident in the first episode because she wanted to defend Himemiya Anthy's honor (the girl in the middle, also kown as the Rose Bride; Utena sees herself as, or rather, wants to be a prince or knight on a white horse, i.e. a fairy tale hero) after she sees what appears to be her fiancee abusing her. Seeing a rose ring on her finger, the other party accepts her challenge and tells her to come to the dueling ring behind the academy. Utena got the ring a long time ago from the person who inspired her to become a knight/prince, not really knowing what it is for, it signifies membership of the student council, a sort of elite shadow group of the academy with special assignments. Hence the rose imagery. Sub Rosa (link provided just in case). She brings a practice sword to an actual swordfight and ends up winning because the arrogant other party starts toying with her after her wooden sword is cut in half. Things then get really interesting for her, because these duels aren't fought for honor or practice, but for posession of the Rose Bride. In other words, she has just won the engagement to Anthy from her opponent. She's sufficently weirded out when she's assigned a separate dorm for only her and Anthy, who really starts treating her like a potential husband. Complete with being demure, cooking, cleaning and all the other things that good women are supposed to do for their spouses.

  29. In the middle of SuperS when I was really not motivated to keep watching I watched the first six episodes of Revolutionary Girl Utena after reading it was what half the Sailor Moon creative team went to make after they left Toei over creative differences. The anime is set in a surrealistic world (but not overly absurd or impressionistic, i.e. it's not like Puella Magi Madoka Magica's witch realms or Salvador Dalí's more prominent works) and is quite heavy on metaphors and imagery, you could probably take any number of scenes out of context and wonder what the hell is going on. I mean, look at this: You wouldn't get anything from that scene ripped out of context, other than perhaps a laugh or two, but it reflects... no, wait, it's shadows, not reflections, uhm... it's a stylized, warped projection of the sibling relationship between pair of twins. Or at least I think that's what it is supposed to be. I haven't kept watching because I want to finish the other shows I'm watching first. This really is something you need to focus on in order to appreciate.

  33. every now and then I place a zipline that looks like it would work but doesn't because it's actually going up or is absurdly slow so my idea is to add a degree number when you are placing the line (or a speed indicator like very slow, slow, average, speedy, super fast) so we can better judge what ziplines would be good

It's a pain to put back everything in place. - For decorative purpose, could we get a "half wall" so that I don't fall in the stairs' hole in my house or to build a nice balcony? - Could we have butterflies flying in the sky? Just because they are beautiful
