  1. I don't have this problem but maybe if you right click on the game in Steam -> Properties -> Controller -> Override for The Outer Worlds 2 : Disable Steam Input. Would this work maybe? Another thing you could try is to look in Windows Event Log Viewer (run -> eventvwr.msc), so when the problem happens ingame and you reboot PC (hard reset), maybe you can find what causes it in the log viewer.

  2. As the title suggests, An Aegis Against the Miasma is stuck in "Mentioned" and the only quest note is "You've learned that a scientist at the Automech Repair Center could use some assistance." I have spoken with Delphinia Bryant once, but did not have the bits she required. I then promptly acquired the bits and came back to her. Now, the only thing she says is, "Still loitering about? I have errands that need running. Put those idle hands to some productive use." I have one response available, "You know what? I should get out of your hair. [Leave Conversation]". The quest marker for "Above and Beyond Repair" points to Delphinia and sabotaging the facility. I have no option to collect the Zyranium gas or otherwise progress towards the shield gadget. Unless I am just completely missing something, I do not see away to progress the quest. I cannot find any other mention of this issue in my search online. Thanks to anyone with any thoughts on this, and if it is a bug, hopefully it gets fixed soon.

  3. When loading a save file, being able to select the character and see only their save files would be an incredibly helpful QoL feature, especially for those of us who have multiple concurrent playthroughs going.

  4. A bit too early for me to have my Outer Worlds2 thought, but this seems to align pretty well m with my impressions so far:

  5. Thank you so much for this solution, tried it, disabled the steam input and it works… I can play the game now, with mouse and keyboard… so happy :-)

  7. Same thing here only it's every few seconds.. Can't even play the first actual mission because as soon as it loads, it kills the usb controller and everything disconnects.. Very frustrating not being able to play..

  8. Very good idea, this game begs to be played through multiple times, having the saved games grouped would be awesome.

  9. The Starfinder: Afterlight Kickstarter has wrapped. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/epictellers/starfinder-afterlight/posts/4533285 The final stretch goal (Mechanic class) made it in under the bar.

  10. I was short on laborers until I reached over 500 pop. Until then I needed to switch between farmers and labor, non stop. Kids only come in to play in late game, when you get people dying of old age, until then immigration is key. There are some relics that can make soldiers almost obsolete, at least on anything below hardest. I didn't even build any walls.

  11. Yes please! I love making multiple characters. There's probably no way to manually sort save files on consoles and although you can do it on PC.. it's annoying to have to.

  13. I usually don't give wounding weapons to ciphers: the Wounding doesn't generate focus and for some reason that feels like a waste to me then (which is a bit silly because it still deals a lot of damage anyway). For the sake of efficiency I guess (and peace of mind) I prefer to give speed weapons to Ciphers - since that is nearly equally as good as Wounding (dps-wise) but it also generates more focus. This is especially important to me before casting Time Parasite (doesn't take as long to collect the needed focus I mean). For example I really like to use Blade of the Endless Paths with a Cipher on Time Parasite (I also like Marking as an enchantment in general, I think it's awesome). Or just the good old Llawran's Stick which you can get so early. With Durance's staff as backup (with the alternative burn dmg for when you encounter crush-immune foes) I think this is a pretty nice weapon setup for a melee Cipher. Reach allows for a bit more safety, too. A bit of Durgan Steel, a cast of Time Parasite: 0 recovery with dat smacky staff. The only gripe I have with that setup is the somewhat silly attack animation of quarterstaffs (sometimes looks like the char is swinging a sledgehammer onto an imaginary post in the ground or something). --- Btw. speaking of Marking: a Darcozzi Paladin with Shame or Glory + Cladhaliath + Coordinated Attacks + Inspiring Exhortation can be a really good wingman for a melee Cipher - one who can remove the struggles in boss fights: Inspiring Liberation (+10 acc), dual weapon Marking (+20 acc), Coordinated Attacks (+10 acc) and Zealous Focus (+6 acc) combined with Tactical Meld on the Cipher's side (+20 acc) lead to a whooping +66 accuracy boost for the Cipher. This lets him get decent focus against even the most defensive enemies... This can also work at range with a Darcozzi with St. Garam's Spark or Pliambo per Casitas and a ranged Cipher. You just put them close to each other to ensure the Paladin buffs the Cipher (and not some other party member standing near to the Paladin, attacking the same target). Then ofc. only one marking weapon applies (+56 acc). Dual wielding Shame or Glory + Cladhaliath is the only way to get two Marking stacks. Marking from two separate party members on a third one won't stack (although Marking stacks with anything else).

  14. One of the best Cipher spells in fights with lots of enemies is def. Amplified Wave. It's a fast cast, causes 8 sec prone (base) and deals good damage (38.5 base) at the same time in a pretty big AoE (4m base radius from the ally you cast it on, usually the tank).

  15. Nice. Deadfire felt a lot better in tb for me. Except that those super bosses were impossible, because combat would stretch into the endless... Those tweaks they mentioned sound interesting. Almost makes me wish they would update Deadfire again.

  17. Well, I did say it was cute, not accurate. To me all that sort of thing is like wanting a replica of Toothless, realizing a super great/artistic one would be expensive or hard to find/always sold out b4 you know about it, and just getting a plushie that only vaguely resembles. Easier to hug anyway. Actually, maybe they should have just done a plushie robot.
