  1. Past hour
  2. Watched the first two episodes of the new Stranger Things season. I dunno.. maybe it's the 3 years break, or maybe I grew out of it, but it's really not hooking me at all. Something about it feels really boring to me, maybe it's just oversaturation now. Also, due to the time gap, everyone is really old now. It's very hard to imagine them as school children, when even that one black girl nerd kid from the last season looks like a grown up now, lol.
  3. Today
  4. It's hard to see the real world gain from ambushing two national guardsmen. We are at a point now where political violence is normalized to an extent. Similar i suppose to the 60's and 70s. The impact wont last more than a week or two. So, what's the calculated payoff in doing something like this ? To me it does kinda point to someone who isn't thinking straight.
  5. Whenever a companion calls out the presence of a nearby enemy while sneaking, the audio line cuts out just before it ends. This affects all companions.
  6. If the free shield from Contingency Screen triggers while you have a different (non-shield) gadget equipped, swapping to Gas-Energy Deflection Apparatus changes its activation cost to 0 energy, which makes it infinitely spammable. To fix the bug, you have to let the manually activated shield expire, swap to a different (non-shield) gadget, then swap back to Gas-Energy Deflection Apparatus.
  7. A couple of additional audio bugs I noticed: if you partially reload a Plasma SMG, the sound effect continues playing even after the reload animation concludes if you have increased magazine size, the sound effect that plays when reloading a Bio-Mass Shotgun cuts out before the reload animation concludes
  8. Hello, Sadly i stuck in the n ray range since the beginning of November and i cant continue. Obsidian ist working on the Bug and it will be fixed in the next Patch. The Last Patch droped almost 3 weeks ago. Maybe someone knows when the next Patch will drop. I really wanna continue the Game i cant continue for about 4 weeks now..
  9. Still no updates :(. Can't finish game and start new session.
  10. This title has bugs aplenty. You'd think maybe having resources tube-fed by the Microsoft© conglomerate would lead to more polish. Anyway, here are various tiny bugs that the team would hopefully patch up (but will likely ignore as they are small). The torch tends to redirect diagonally and gets stuck pointing towards to the upper left corner of the screen, when used for some period of time during third-person (far). Inez stays on Paradise Island landing pad. When recruiting Inez as a companion on Paradise Island, there are two of them (clones) - one who follows you, the other stays on the landing pad. The saving indicator (with Auntie's face on it) stays on screen for a very long time - sometimes even saving. In the Incognito, Tristan remains standing next to the entrance to the bridge upon finishing his companion quest. You don't see him going anywhere else on the ship. He doesn't go anywhere else on the ship. (Super immersion-breaking.) Upon the end of a cinematic death scene, your camera points to a direction totally different to where it was just before the death scene began. (Can sometimes end up looking 360° behind.) Some barks showing subtitles but no audio. Golden Shroud has small yellow graphical artifact gilding on the cape. (Duchamp's moustache on the Mona Lisa.) Note: PS5 (standard) version
  11. I replied earlier today but unsure if it will get approved. Just wanted to follow up to say the glitch triggered again despite me avoiding AutoDocs so don't know what it causing it. Loading older save helps but it will just trigger randomly.
  12. Every time I start the game and get to the main menu, the Moon Man starts to talk but only gets about halfway through the dialog when the audio cuts as if I'd intentionally skipped it. Playing on PS5 with the latest version of the game.
  13. up to aurora, we use argenta as a sniper. the rest o' the game am going flamer(s). argenta and heinrix, played as their kinda defaults, become cheat characters by mid game and although a flamer argenta isn't that much weaker than bolter, she feels a tiny bit less cheaty and so am able to add her to our party with our conscience unblemished. keep in mind, am not pretending as if our feels make sense, but given owlcat's writing efforts coupled with the intentional ludicrousness o' the setting, playing rogue trader complete reasonable and rational would be a comical self-own. HA! Good Fun! ps a respec after each major patch is kinda de rigueur at this point, although am not sure if the aoe psyker staff powers being treated as dodgeable melee attacks is intended or not. regardless, am recalling how a few people in this thread went nuts when obsidian considered adding respec to pillars. how bob's use o' respec could ruin doug's game confused us even at the time, but regardless, am amused there were nary a peep about owlcat's wrath or rogue trader respec from the purists.
  14. I'm having so much trouble with a few of the achievements in this game. the ones that are bugged for me are: -SA Quarterlies Quantified -Whew, That's Enough! -Go Out With a Bang I've made progress on the first two (80% and 71%, respectively). I made a second character to try and re-do the achievements and complete them, but now progress won't count on them on my new character! I found all issues of the SA magazines and turned them all in at once to complete the quest, and am still stuck at 80%. and the other achievement involving the Big Bang weapon is just bugged, I have killed more than three enemies at once with it, and it won't register the achievement. it's incredibly frustrating because getting achievements completed is my favorite thing to do with video games, and I'm sick of wasting time on this game just to not be able to complete them. are there any plans for any bug fixes for them??
  15. hmmm why do you suggest the shooter is "unstable"? am sure not going so far as to suggest that the cia were the responsible party for claimed instability. am not certain o' the shooter's background and motivations such that am comfortable making such an observation. the shooter's actions were vile and unforgivable, but is too easy to dismiss him as unstable and somehow blame the cia appears knee-jerk at best. sans info, could just as easily imagine that the taliban, or the shooter's parents were responsible for shaping rahmanullah lakanwal. also, is too easy to dismiss bad actions as the result o' instability. @Guard Dog claimed he would shoot cops if they came onto his property to take his rusty chainsaw. unstable? maybe, but gd had convinced himself that shooting otherwise innocent people doing their duty were worth the human cost 'cause there were a greater principle involved. crackpot? wingnut? maybe, but we don't see gd as particular monstrous or unhinged even if a few o' his beliefs is fodder for the lunatic fringe. nevertheless, if gd had shot a cop in defense o' his chainsaw, it would be convenient and popular to dismiss his actions as monstrous and insane. too easy. label as unstable and monstrous means it is safe for average americans to dismiss an act or actor as unique and exceptional. am always warning people to wait after these situations where what we do not know far outweighs what we do know. almost nobody looks foolish by waiting a week. waiting means that a few yahoos get the chance to set the narrative, which is maybe important if you are a politician, but for anybody else is there an excuse? how many times has we seen on this board where Gromnir has been able to i told you so the folks who got out in front of facts and came to bad conclusions based on paucity o' information? am not certain o' the shooter's motivations and what in his mind justified a husband and father o' five children to travel thousands of miles so that he could shoot national guardsman in dc. most murders is impulsive. in spite o' lack o' certainty, am willing to concede this shooting does not appear impulsive, so the shooter likely had reasons. better or worse than gd's rusty chainsaw defense? dunno. tps for afghanistani refugees were ended earlier this year. our government transformed many thousands o' documented immigrants into undocumented immigrants... 'cause. the reality is that ending tps o' people who had aided US efforts in afghanistan means that the US government is knowing murdering many people by sending them back to the tender mercies o' the taliban. is not a "well, maybe... " kinda situation. send many back to afghanistan is a f'ing death sentence. D.C. police to begin patrolling with National Guard after fatal attack contrary to trump claims o' no dc murders post deployment, there has been more than 60 homicides in dc since the national guard were deployed-- troops didn't eliminate violent crime. now, post shooting, dc cops is gonna be tasked with protecting the national guard troops. what? am suspecting the point o' the deployments in la, chicago and dc were to provoke a violent response, and that hasn't happened... unless you are bruce and you have been watching only fox and right-wing sources o' news. the wh has been waiting for violence, but instead o' summer 2020 protests, which were never as widespread or bad as they were depicted on fox, we got months o' images o' protesters wearing inflatable frog costumes, pastors being shot in the head with pepper balls and hundreds o' living banksy memes. given the reality, the wh has become desperate for a violent response they could seize on to amplify one o' their narratives o' fear, which is no doubt why they tried to prosecute sandwich guy and other stoopid. yeah, a fully vetted afghani refugee who had worked with the cia is not an ideal target for anti-immigrant ire, but that don't matter 'cause facts has never been particular important to the maga base. what is most terrible is that the wh narrative might work in part 'cause o' how @Hurlshotportrays the situation. if you are selling fear, then root causes become far less important than is is practical safety concerns. example: those cigarette boats hegseth ordered destroyed weren't anywhere near the US when they were attacked by US forces, and if they were carrying drugs it were likely cocaine 'cause venezuela don't send fentanyl to the US. the mere possibility o' cocaine shipments, as likely to be heading to europe as the US, became the justification for US murder on the high seas? believe it or not, one o' the few things trump is doing that americans approve of is the murder o' "narco-terrorists." an "unstable" and violent immigrant killing national guardsman on the streets o' dc is gonna make steven miller and trump efforts to end non european immigration and to possible expel non-white immigrants more or less likely? the only thing which surprises us is that it has taken this long for somebody to provide the excuse the wh has been looking for since they first sent troops to la in june. HA! Good Fun!
  16. I have been trying to finish the part of this quest where you enter negotiations on the ACS Undisputed Claim. My reputation with all factions is trusted or above, I do not have a bounty (I have checked several terminals on different planets) and I have spent a few hours on other planets to try to reset aggro. Unfortunately, when I travel to the ACS Undisputed Claim the NPCs and soldiers are hostile to me, I cannot even access the lift to try to enter negotiations because I get attacked. The only NPCs I have killed (on my first visit and been back multiple times) was the group of middle managers, this conflict couldnt be avoided. I went to Eden to mince about and tried to reset aggro and I noticed the Order forces in the camp on the bottom right in the map are also hostile to me. Any help would be appreciated, I have spent 50 hours on this game and would like to continue!!
  17. Making a chunky chicken/veggie/spinach soup - put some cubed wheel gouda cheese in it to melt for flavor, and a small amount of ham bits. Change of pace from my more typical flavors. Might've put in too much onion (well, for hubby's tastes) but spoon-tastes say I'll still like it just fine. Soup on a cold evening, then maybe another movie. Then maybe a couple hours of game in the wee hours. I do like my quiet life. Hope everyone (if applicable for your area) had a nice thankful holiday.
  18. Train Dreams (film, via Netflix) A meaning/purpose of life (one man's life) film? There's no plot per se, shifts from scene to scene, moment to moment, not tons of dialogue, contemplative. I'd say the ending is slightly unsatisfying - or too abrupt perhaps. But it was beautiful in many parts. Although, if one cannot stand film narration ever, it has a lot of it (Will Patton as narrator). I have no big love for narration but it didn't bother me much here, with the way the film is structured. It's kind of an Oscar-bait film I suppose. Anyway - Joel Edgerton does some of his best work I think, and William H Macy (in a very small role) added a lot. Not a best ever, for me, but for the film type, maybe a 7.5 or 8 out of 10.
  19. Yesterday
  20. I am thinking of replaying Pentiment as well. I was a lovely little game. I don't love everything about it, but I appreciate it nonetheless.
  21. 3 more years of this bull****, too.
  22. All that nonsense simply because Britain decided to reinforce Gibraltar instead of keeping up the blockade of Brest.
  23. The guy wasn't really a foriegn actor. He spent 10 years working for the CIA. This administration loves to point fingers at other people, but this is our problem and the CIA is the responsible party for turning him into an unstable individual. It's the same thing with us trying to deport people who have lived in this country since they were children. If they have turned to crime or gangs, the fault lies with the US, not some foriegn country they might have lived in for a couple years. This administration is afraid of accountability.
  24. Hey everyone Just wanted to say I’m really enjoying The Outer Worlds so far. The writing and humor feel classic Obsidian, and the companion characters are surprisingly fun to travel with. Still early in my playthrough, but I’m already hooked by the choices and consequences system. Looking forward to seeing how everyone else is playing it.

  25. That type of logic almost comes straight out of Mein Kampf. But Trump is a master of massive overreaction, using the best available pretext to justify his policies. I'm not even clear this is terrorism, since the National Guard is normally armed. I.e. not civilians. He is the President who deployed the military to the streets of Washington D.C., turning them into easy targets of opportunity for foreign actors.
