Countries that have many different official languages still have one common main and " middle ground " language that is used primarily And its selected based on the fact everyone living there should understand it In South Africa we have 12 official languages but English is the main language that is used for government and business communication Throughout Africa you could find a country that has dozens of different tribal languages so the European language is preferred as the official language because it actually reduces tribal tensions, translation complexity and is consistent. It would create massive tribal tension in South Africa if Zulu was adopted as the main language because the other tribal activists would understandably say " why Zulu, what about our language. Why should Zulu be officially elevated higher than ours" Its perfectly normal for English to be the main language in the US and everyone should at least understand it

'cause there is no, "apart from the legal specifics." Congress has passed a law which requires special consideration for americans with disabilities. lack o' conversational spanish knowledge is not a disability for purposes o' the various fed laws which address accommodations for those with disabilities. why do you distinguish 'tween english and spanish as to which is requiring translation? am not knowing the exact number, but is more than 300 languages which is the primary language of american citizens. ( @Elerond, "177 indigenous languages" refers to those spoken by "native americans," or whatever is the label this week. Gromnir, for instance, understands enough lakota that we can follow the gist o' a conversation between our aunts who is aged 84 and 90 respective, but we sure as hell cannot carry on a conversation with them. am doubting there is more than 1500 living persons who are able to legit speak lakota, and that number shrinks every year.) regardless, trump passed an executive order in march o' this year which purports to make english the official language o' the US. at the very least, the trump executive order invalidates a clinton era eo which made translation services for non english speakers more readily available. so you got no specific Congressional law which would require interpreters to translate legislators who is exercising their first amendment rights to speak howsoever the f they wish, while simultaneous you got a Presidential eo which, at least until challenged, makes english the official language o' the US while specific diminishing translation services for non-english speakers. is not an "apart from the legal specifics," question. HA! Good Fun!

On Listening For a Clue quest after killing Perrault and looted his body for the Oculus Collating Post Navkey , there is no further dialogue between Tristan and Virgil, on the nav System i don't see cculus collating post to be selected, to progress the quest further. seems like bugged out, the quest just put Perrault is killed.

A bug I've experienced is that if you're on Inez's companion quest "Full Measures", and progress far enough in the story that you choose to go against Auntie's Choice and lose access to the ACS Undisputed Claim, you do not fail the quest, nor do you have the ability to finish it. It just stays in your quest log uncompleted.

Spanish, perhaps so. The others? Maybe if they are comparable to ASL communicators: ~1 million? Then that would include Chinese, Tagalog, Vietnamese, Arabic, French, Korean, and Russian. Some day maybe AI can be tasked with that.

The skill tree window has a UI scaling issue. As the player reaches level 10 and 12, new passive skills appear outside the window's visible area, making them impossible to select. This suggests the window is not large enough to accommodate the full skill tree. I have tried troubleshooting this by changing the game's resolution and reinstalling the game, but the problem persists. The mods were installed recently, and the bug was already there.

When I start this mission, I get teleported outside the ship and cannot get back in, and I am unable to continue with the game. I have tried repairing game files, going back to a previous save file, and uninstalling/ reinstalling the game. I have put 30+ hours in the game and would really like not to have to start from scratch

Multiplayer no sound problem
ncornetta8 replied to Cheetos's topic in Grounded: Technical Support (Spoiler Warning!)
No sound in multiplayer issue has happened again. PC/Xbox. Sound broken at character selection screen. Works in single player. Worked in multiplayer yesterday. No audio in Grounded 2. -

I didn’t have any companions when I went back to the Anchorhold and failed the quest. When I brought Marisol, no matter what I examined or tried, I couldn’t get the quest to progress because I had already missed the window. I thought the newest update might fix this, but it’s still broken. Anyone been able to advance the quest? Anyone know if this is on the dev’s radar?

I agree. I already used the terminal suggested by Mirole prior to crossing the bridge the first time. When I interacted with it, it a first would not allow me to use the items to repair it but after clicking on it again, it was suddenly repaired and I could no longer interact with it. As I did this prior to finishing everything, I figured that was the end of it but the elevators did not activate and I could not call reinforcements. Now, I can not finish the quest as there is no NPC to hand over the Calcaduceus to.

After completing the quest and talking to Associate Field Manager Huguenard again, I was able to repeat the dialogue for turning in the quest and receive the reward over and over. I was able to get a ton of Auntie Cleo reputation and make tens of thousands of bits. I figured I should mention this bug so it could get fixed.

I've been running a melee build, and I have started all combat encounters by sprinting in and engaging in melee. I was slightly surprised when the anger mismanagement flaw popped, since while I do rush in, I also block diligently to make use of the duelist perk. Of course, I miss some blocks with my big slow weapon so I guess its fair enough. What was truly surprising though was when the dependent perk popped up, saying I like to 'lead from the back'. I've sprinted into every single combat encounter from the moment I found a melee weapon in the prologue. Once or twice I'd take cover when my health was low and switch to a ranged weapon - literally once or twice because by the time my build was coming online that was absolutely no longer needed. Of course, I can't draw all the agro on everything all the time, and my companions occasionally arrive at the front in time to get hit, but the notion that my character is 'leading from the back' is ludicrous. Naturally I've already taken the flawed perk, so c'est la vie I'll take it, but it leads me to think that everyone is eventually going to qualify for all flaws on all playthroughs - is that the design intent?

From what I can tell it's awarding extra hearts based on the number of bullets that hit the target upon death. Using a silenced Rattler actually rewards 8 hearts per kill becaue it's counting each bullet as a seperate kill. I also tested this with a burst silenced repeater rifle and got 3 hearts per kill. Attached before and after heart counters from killing a civilian in Fairfield. Started with 6 after using the Rattler (8 bullets) my heart total went up to 14. This also triggers the loot notification on the left part of the screen for each heart.

Should all speeches in Congress also be translated to Spanish (because of Puerto Rico) and all 177 indigenous languages spoken in US or at least for those that are official languages of US territories?
-
Same problem. On my first playthrough I remember Ruth sending me on quests that would lead to AC's confrontation. Now I'm unable to do do that. Ruth just has closing dialogue, and the quest marker remains over her head. Beckett is also not in the room (like he was in my previous run) for his scene with Ruth to play out. I have already turned in his quest with the audio logs.

Same issue, after resolving the personality crisis, i have floating marker of "Hand over the Calcaduceus" with no body showing and nothing happen. In Journal, it show as "The archive is badly damaged. You will not be able to hand over the Calcaduceus until you have made the repairs necessary to generate the rift data"

Ever heard of CPAN? Speeches to Congress can go out to the nation. She was clearly speaking in both languages intentionally, and wasn't translating for the benefit of either audience.
