Is amazing how tempting a tshirt is for a tier

I hope they get some proper lighting in the studio with this money. Torchlight is cool, but probably not ideal for coding.

I think they did that on purpose for mimic the post-apocalyptic atmosphere.

I'm not sure, I don't know enough about Bulgaria to say they have access to electricity.   :p

Wasn't Bulgaria the setting for Jagged Alliance 2?

I wouldn't know about jagged alliance 2.

However I am pretty 99% sure they do have access to electrics just look at those monitors! :p

I still think this game looks a lot like Abomination.

It has the same stuff on the ground, weird mutants getting more weird with each mission, etc.

This game you linked looks more like some alternative Syndicate :D

You beat me to it. I was going to say the same thing. I was young when I played some of Syndicate, which was still quite a few years after it came out. It was bit unwieldy and difficult to manage in real time. I never made it past the first level.

OT: I played Syndicate on shareware CD-ROM that had alot of great stuff on it. Alone in the Dark, Raptor: Call of the Shadows, Rise of the Triad, One Must Fall 2097, Magic Carpet and much more. So awesome. All of them were full games--you just couldn't save! Let to some intense play, and major heart-breaks. Good times.

Well, I didn't post the video for the gameplay, but how the game world looks like. :>

Never played Syndicate. Didn't interest me much and combat looks horrid.

I've played Syndicate extensively when it came out. The research system, the way you can buy more intel on a location before going in, the atmosphere and the fact that you have to mind rape people into following you while essentially playing an evil multinational corporation hell-bent on world domination and all that back in '93, seriously, what's not to love?

The combat isn't really an issue, the gameplay is slow enough. It's nowhere near the level of current RTSs and MOBAs in terms of APM requirements. Planning the missions and figuring things out is great fun and you even have a certain degree of freedom in how you approach your objective (well not in the early missions like the first one).

Steal cars, mind-rape civilians and put them in the crossfire, climb on a tower to snipe down or use your rocket launchers to incinerate a well fortified position while watching the people inside run around in panic and burn (yeah well you can see them moving on the scanner, just imagine the screams and all). Hell you can outfit your agents with a self destruct device and make them very effective suidice bombers (mind rape a few civilians to follow the bomber for extra fun).

The original only had one really difficult mission where the real time nature of the game became a bit of an issue and that was Atlantis Station, and in normal playthroughs that's the very final one you'll be attempting.

Also, like with many other games that age you can use a fan made improved engine in the form of FreeSynd.

Phoenix Point shaping up well indeed. I am really happy with what they showed in the demo regarding mechanics. Seems like they are adopting many of good ideas Firaxis XCOM had, while not making same mistakes - two point movement is gone, no pods, better bullet mechanics, resource for special abilities seems interesting.

I thought chaos reborn was really neat, though not something I put much time into. Keeping my fingers crossed for Phoenix Point being the strategy/tactics game to play for a long time I have been waiting for.

You'd say different things back when it was released. It's one of the games why Bullfrog became a recognized brand. Shame it died after being swallowed by EA

First project I backed outside my trusted developers Obsidian and inXile, and it seems I won't have to regret it.

It doesn’t seem like anyone posted it yet, so here is the newest demo presentation of PP:

Just as a heads up, it is a demo prepared for a PC Gamer weekend. While it is gameplay, it is not representative of an actual ingame mission, with much smaller squad, lacking many integral mechanics and a not playable faction being played as here. However, it does showcase some cool cor mechanics of PP.

I didn't back it at a high enough level but that's probably for the best. With BattleTech now and Deadfire in two a weeks.

You know I'll post enough screenshots for the both of us :)
