Try to read this one without your head exploding: http://claremontinde...ve-journalists/

I can insult someone as a "classist" now? Oh my..... what an opportunity

Seriously though, if this is the best the American left has to offer, I am ashamed. Comrades, we used to be critical theorists with masterful analysis of capitalism and it's ills across multiple subjects, we were major contributors to sociology, Philosophy, economics, politics.... and THAT is all you got to offer?

Oh I don't know Ben. In some aspects they are splitting the uprights in terms of socialist thought. With few exceptions (all of them fairly recent) the socialist nations of the world have not been known for embracing or encouraging things like free speech or independent thought.

Very true, however, I'd argue that no matter what your political stance is, the criticism of capitalism from left winged theorists is spot on

Here is a little media bias on display. This article is from the San Diego newspaper: http://www.sandiegou...0419-story.html

Now here is the same story from Stars and Stripes https://www.stripes....99#.WPikaGe1uUm

To summarize there is a movement in the House Veterans Committee to ask military personnel who participate in the GI Bill to pay $2400 (probably $100 a month for two years) into the program. When I was in the service I participated in that plan. For me it was $100 a month for 12 months. After 9-11 they dropped the pay in apparently. The GI Bill is an outstanding benefit. It paid for my first 72 credit hours of the 127 I earned to get my degree. I was over half way done before I paid the first penny out of pocket.

Now, the San Diego Union Tribune went on at length about how terrible this is and how veterans groups are going to fight this new "tax on troops". But read the Stars and Stripes version and you'll see the San Diego paper never mentioned that it used to be a "pay in" benefit. That it currently limits the institutions you can use it at. That it is not transferable to survivors. The proposed changes by the HSoVA will change those things and pay out more money to boot. So yes, military members will have to pay more but they will get more. Why didn't that San Diego paper include that info? I don't know. I guess it didn't advance the narrative they wanted to tell.

Heh, so Alex Jones is a performance artist. Not exactly surprising, but funny to hear it from his own lawyer. Sadly I doubt this will affect any of the loons that buy into his shtick.

Alex Jones needs to be an FMV actor:

Patriots, Donald Trump fire at New York Times over tweet.

Never change, media.

Aside, is it even possible to get fired from a journalist position? Facts and accuracy are seemingly not required in any capacity. Anything short of insulting the special interest group de jour and the journalist's are bullet proof.

Those "values" tests are amusing in how effective they would be and also how many of the citizenry of those countries lack those values anyway. I guess it looks hard so that sells

The America Conservative has an excerpt from that book on their page. Apparently Clinton was a seriously paranoid individual. She had staffers spy on other staffers. She read other people e-mail. They had a "loyalty" list of congress where they ranked the congress critters from 1-7 on their loyalty to their campaign. She had a strained relationship with the President (that isn't news to anyone) and her whole campaign went out if it's way to ignore the advice coming from Bill Clinton. And it sounds like he was warning them as far back as April 2016 they were in trouble. I might have to give that book a  look. it sounds interesting from the little I read.

Apparently she was quite sophisticated in using email servers to spy on her employees. Then claimed in sworn testimony she had no idea how email servers work.

I like Mélenchon, he's like a modern day Jaurès. Surprised Pepe Le Pew's stormtroopers haven't done him in yet.

So France looks like they might be getting that woman as president. Looks like France, USA, Australia are joining Britain in rebellion of current status of changing culture to adjust to culture new immigrants instead of vice versa.
Hopefully more countries join in, I've always thought "when in Rome do as the Romans do" when visiting or moving to new areas.

Also scienctists are marching soon. Dunno, if correct or not. Up to them, can understand the pay cuts, but at same time it's politics. U either jump in the sludge pit with all the bad along with the good, or just stay away or else will end up muddier and ****tier than before. At the same time, Trump trying to cut dead weight in expenses so it's expected so I can see both sides. Knowing our govt, we problemly throwing to much dosh or people aren't allocating it well enough.
Dunno if it's a **** storm because things are being done or if it's because of very bad decisions.
I do wonder how this game would be if the media wasn't obsessed with Trump like a scorned ex trying to cause drama.

Le Pen has no chance of becoming French president, none at all. She may well win the first round but she'll lose to any of the other three main candidates in the run off, and lose by a fair margin.

Compared to Le Pen Trump and Brexit were the deadest of dead certainties, if Le Pen wins then the universe would need rebooting as a critical reality error would have occurred.

There are actually 2 extreme candidates who may cause France to leave the EU

Le Penn is one and the other is Mélenchon who is an outspoken critic of the EU. So there is greater reason for anxiety around this election outcome
