Pathfinder Adventures App being marketed at Paizo.com

Recommended Posts

Incidentally - I visited my local store to pick up some Pathfinder stuff and they said interest in the physical game had declined heavily, due to the app being superior... (pretty much a quote)

And here I was doing the opposite. :geek:

Well pathfinder has long history as a board game, and it is quite shelff heavy game. It eats a lot of space. So it may be declining, but it still have quite strong fan base and the next big box is coming out soon. I Expect that the app and board game version still support each others.

I don't beleive that They eat eachothers. The app is superb for solo playing and soon reasonable good for multiplayer too, but there still is difference to cather together with a friends and play together some physical game.

I think that declining in popularity is just normal situation to the physical game at this moment. So don't worry man! There will be new adventures in the Pathfinder for some time at least and Also hopefully new digital too.

I bought the game (full), tried to played it a few times, but it's a (physcal)  game which is very tiring for me (more than more complex games), not sure why.

I think the app is far superior, so much I'm not even sure I'll buy the other boxes (which I was planning for).

Also, it's a looong game, I have difficulties finding two - three people interested in playing 15+ sessions it (in my experience, two-three hours is the maximum I can play it)

And seeing how often I lose on the app, 15+ is I think quite low.

Would disagree; for me the card game is superior because of the physical handling of cards dices and stuff. And also because you can implement your own house rules;

The apps is great though; eagerly waiting for AD4; AD5 and AD6 like everyone

The app is great because it sorts out the whole prepping and cleaning up, so you only focus on the best part of the gaming experience: actually playing the game.

Meanwhile, the physical game has the unbeatable asset of the social experience of sitting with your friends and have a great time with them while you play.

So both can coexist.
