Best item to use the Helwax Mold on? (Spoilers probably)

Recommended Posts

Yes, enchantments get duplicated. So it's best to duplicate an item that you already enchanted.

I like the idea of duplicating a one-handed weapon so that you can dual wield it. 2 * Godansthunyr for example would give you +2 MIG instead of +1. 2 * Whispers of Yenwood will give you +4 CON and so on. Two Resolutions would also be nice. :)

Another item that is really powerful if you put it on the right character is Shod-in-Faith.

What item you duplicate will depend totally on your build, and also on your party composition. This gives you the ability to get two of an item that really makes a build flow, allowing you to maybe use two character builds that otherwise wouldn't work well together.

Ahem... is there a way to upgrade weapons to legendary ?

Yup, you need Kraken eyes for that.

I suppose you can't get more than 2 scales and 2 eyes...

You can actually get 4 scales if you fight Llengrath and her dragons; you only get 2 if you pursue the peaceful solution.

I used it on durgan-reinforced Angio's Gambeson. Instant use Alacrity is just crazy good on any caster.

Just checked and it turns out if you have 2 little saviours the effects stack, so if you also have a paladin you could duplicate little saviour and have the paladin wear outworn buckler and give everyone +15 to all defenses.

I would be funny to roll twins who look the same, wear the same gear and also the same awesome weapon. Like two rangers with wolves and both use Persistence with... wait for it... Twinned Arrows!

Some one handers that really stand out to me for dualing with themselves:

I think Starcaller is the only fast weapon with a disable on crit. I'm hoping to try this out on an Orlan barb I just started.

Strike Hard is one of the few speed weapons with another useful enchantment in disorienting; not sure if that stacks between two of them, though. Also, if you're going with warhammers, why not include a Godansthunyr or two?

Reghar Konnek is a fast weapon with a speed enchantment + some good assorted effects: interfering, predatory, and kith slaying. Could be a nice durability boost while keeping up damage with the speed and crits.

Starcaller is not speed enchanted - that's Unforgiven.

Sadly, disorienting doesn't stack any more, also not from different weapons (somebody here reported that). Tah would have been so cool - wielding two Strike Hards.

Starcaller isn't speed enchanted, but, if I understand the speed math right (pulling from this thread), you can still hit zero recovery while naked and frenzying (dual durgan-enhanced weapons + Gauntlets of Quickness + frenzy = 1.15 * 1.15 * 1.15 * 1.33 = 2.02), at which point 20 frames to attack and 4 between attacks gives an attack every .8 seconds, compared to every 1.13 with a normal one-handed weapon.  That's almost 30% faster, which seems useful for stunlocking as many enemies as possible.
