I wonder if averaged out on a per movie basis Chow Yun Fat would come out on top.

Quote
“Political philosophers have often pointed out that in wartime, the citizen, the male citizen at least, loses one of his most basic rights, his right to life; and this has been true ever since the French Revolution and the invention of conscription, now an almost universally accepted principle. But these same philosophers have rarely noted that the citizen in question simultaneously loses another right, one just as basic and perhaps even more vital for his conception of himself as a civilized human being: the right not to kill.”

-Jonathan Littell <<Les Bienveillantes>>
Quote

"The chancellor, the late chancellor, was only partly correct. He was obsolete. But so is the State, the entity he worshipped. Any state, entity, or ideology becomes obsolete when it stockpiles the wrong weapons: when it captures territories, but not minds; when it enslaves millions, but convinces nobody. When it is naked, yet puts on armor and calls it faith, while in the Eyes of God it has no faith at all. Any state, any entity, any ideology that fails to recognize the worth, the dignity, the rights of Man...that state is obsolete."

Katanas & Trenchcoats

[snip]

I see your Katanas & Trenchcoats and raise you Stab City!

The year is 20XX.

An American vice-president accidentally receives the heart of a lycanthrope during a tragic mix-up during a transplant operation. In the ensuing chaos, 18 hospital staff are devoured, and the beast flees into the night.

A corrupt Russian military leader waits at a rendezvous point in North Africa to sell yellow cake uranium to a terrorist organization. His vast wealth allows him to employ a private military company, and full conversion cyborg soldiers guard him in the scorching African afternoon.

Eighty eight Adolph Hitler clones scheme in a South American jungle compound. They plot and skulk, hidden from the world, slowly rebuilding a weapons program of doomsday proportions.

These are your targets. Your job is to kill them.

Stab City! is a role playing game about deadly assassins and murderous foes. It is a story game, designed to create "Michael Baysian Anime Magical Realism" adventures, which is a thing that did not exist until Stab City! came along. It's a game about secretive cabals and mysterious organizations battling in the shadows, a world of gritty intrigue, cigarette stubs and dark, rainy nights. It is also a game about ninjas, supervillains and massive special effects budgets. It is one part grindhouse crime story, one part high budget summer action movie, and several parts weird. Stab City! finally answers important questions that people want to know. What would have happened if Haruki Murakami had directed Fast And Furious 6? What would Robert Rodriguez's film adaptation of No More Heroes have looked like? How about Zack Snyder's gritty reboot of The Venture Brothers? Or Hideo Kojima's Saints Row: The Third?

Why has elegance found so little following? Elegance has the disadvantage that hard work is needed to achieve it and a good education to appreciate it. - Edsger Wybe Dijkstra

dont have a pic but i was reading something that happened in china.

a guy's parents told him that they found a great girl for him to marry and talked him into accepting. he never met the bride until the day of the wedding while his parents got everything ready. when he got to the church and saw her, he ran and jumped off a bridge. he decided to wash with his life the dishonor of his family for him not wanting to marry such an ugly woman after all the preparations

The words freedom and liberty, are diminishing the true meaning of the abstract concept they try to explain. The true nature of freedom is such, that the human mind is unable to comprehend it, so we make a cage and name it freedom in order to give a tangible meaning to what we dont understand, just as our ancestors made gods like Thor or Zeus to explain thunder.

What? You thought it was a quote from some well known wise guy from the past?

Stupidity leads to willful ignorance - willful ignorance leads to hope - hope leads to sex - and that is how a new generation of fools is born!

We are hardcore role players... When we go to bed with a girl, we roll a D20 to see if we hit the target and a D6 to see how much penetration damage we did.

A book about colony of lesbians that mates with horses was her favorite... as a child... :ermm:

I was reminded of the dinosaur erotic novels

I'm pretty sure you are in the wrong thread Fighter.

I'm fine thanks. Pretty sure that the sheer insanity of the subject or the idea that anyone thinks that would be ok for a child to read are at least chuckle worthy for many people. But sorry not sorry if you think a feminist is above ridicule.

Quite an experience to live in misery isn't it? That's what it is to be married with children.

I've seen things you people can't even imagine. Pearly Kings glittering on the Elephant and Castle, Morris Men dancing 'til the last light of midsummer. I watched Druid fires burning in the ruins of Stonehenge, and Yorkshiremen gurning for prizes. All these things will be lost in time, like alopecia on a skinhead. Time for tiffin.

Go afield with a good attitude, with respect for the wildlife you hunt and for the forests and fields in which you walk. Immerse yourself in the outdoors experience. It will cleanse your soul and make you a better person.----Fred Bear
