Saw Brave this weekend with my sister and her family. It was a pretty good movie, but it seemed to be too standard a story for what I've come to expect of Pixar. A rebellious princess who doesn't want to be forced into marriage, trouble ensues. Only this time she's Scottish.

Alien 4 overcompensated, everything is cartoony dual wielding action. Totally ruins the atmosphere.

Alien 4 is kind of interesting in that it's written by Joss Whedon and he has remarked a few times how they followed the script in general, but in every scene he wrote, they've emphasised the wrong element and removed what he'd planned which has it coming across in ways he never imagined it could be done.
Does make me curious as to how he had it sketched out originally.

i hated alien 3 when it came out, but now, on reflection over many years and viewings, i think it is an adequate final film for Ripley

I've read his script and I can say pretty accurately that they didn't follow the script at all. It's the same general plot, but that's it.

It's actually quite amusing and throws the rock n roll nostalgia at you.
Although Alec Baldwin and Russell Brand have kind of spoiled "I can't fight this feeling" for me. Twistedly funny, but some things you really don't want stuck in your mind...

Thou shall not speak ill of Riddley Scott!God wills it!!ridley scott has been having some issues ever since black hawk down... kingdom of heaven was a mess, that robin hood movie.... i'm surprised prometheus turned out even halfway decent (i haven't seen it yet, but i've heard its not too terrible)
Besides I don't know what you're talking about those were good movies.

blade runner and alien are two of my favorite films of all time ever. legend, gladiator, and black hawk down are all great too. but we fans of mr scott cannot kid ourselves, he's made some stinkers too.

Ridley's mojo is on the wane, I am sad to say.

Along with the film synopsis
The future America is an irradiated waste land. On its East Coast, running from Boston to Washington DC, lies Mega City One- a vast, violent metropolis where criminals rule the chaotic streets. The only force of order lies with the urban cops called "Judges" who possess the combined powers of judge, jury and instant executioner. Known and feared throughout the city, Dredd (Karl Urban) is the ultimate Judge, challenged with ridding the city of its latest scourge - a dangerous drug epidemic that has users of "Slo-Mo" experiencing reality at a fraction of its normal speed.
During a routine day on the job, Dredd is assigned to train and evaluate Cassandra Anderson (Olivia Thirlby), a rookie with powerful psychic abilities thanks to a genetic mutation. A heinous crime calls them to a neighborhood where fellow Judges rarely dare to venture- a 200 story vertical slum controlled by prostitute turned drug lord Ma-Ma (Lena Headey) and her ruthless clan. When they capture one of the clan's inner circle, Ma-Ma overtakes the compound's control center and wages a dirty, vicious war against the Judges that proves she will stop at nothing to protect her empire. With the body count climbing and no way out, Dredd and Anderson must confront the odds and engage in the relentless battle for their survival.
