Tomb Raider trailer.

"Ahahaha noooo ehhhhhhh wahhhhhhhh nooohhh uhhhhhh"

I think I can confidently say I can skip this game for good

Why do they even bother calling it "Tomb Raider"??? >_<

Currently installing the TR 1+2+3 package from GOG. Probably the best one can hope for in a foreseeable future.

Hitman Absolution - new walkthrough video (It looks like a worthy successor to Blood Money. Really great.)

Ah, much better from IO in terms of promotional stuff, heh.

Considering the difference seen here between the game and the promotional material we should also give TR the benefit of the doubt. SQE seems to have some very markety marketing at the moment.

And that was just one level. One level that, thanks to extraordinary freedom, complex set-ups and fish-based kills, could last hours. And that's forgetting collectible security tapes and goals encouraging re-runs (the Chameleon challenge, for instance, rewards wardrobe changes with points, but IO aren't yet saying what they're for). In true Hitman fashion, each scenario, from hotel to orphanage to small mountain town, welcomes both tiptoeing agents and AK-wielding maniacs. Equal parts devious and ingenious, this is not only Hitman, but the best Hitman. Make no mistake: Absolution looks absolutely bloody brilliant.

a few comments (some responses to old thread):

yes new tomb raider looks like uwe boll's Deliverance

the original star wars DID have a "dirty" feel to it. Mos Eisley anyone?

the original dark forces will still be better than 1313. kyle katarn will not be outdone

i played hitman silent assassin back on the ps2, i LOVED that game. I'd really like to play a shiny new high quality hitman game

I'm really excited for the sequel to Castlevania Lords of Shadow, that game was actually pretty damn good, and I imagine the sequel will be even more aligned in tone with traditional Castlevania games. I'll probably be buying this on day 1.

Announced settlement between ACTI and the Dynamic Duo...

My thoughts: So... Activision has admitted to knowing they were in the wrong and are now paying off their enemies as they don't want their CRIMINAL behaviour to become official public knowledge.

And, the greed of the duo shows up as they don't want to fight the good fight despite all their big talk.

Every time I see a Hitman game (or any game that requires stealth), I get excited and end up buying it, but then quickly get frustrated because I suck at stealth, and often times the majority of the game requires missions to be tackled that way or you fail.

If you liked Silent Assassin, you really should try Blood Money. I too loved SA but BM is the best Hitman game to date. Looking forward for Absolution, it first seemed like some shooter but that E3 walkthrough made it pretty clear it's still the Hitman I like.

I like the hits from Contracts the best, the level design from SA, but Blood Money feels like the most well rounded. Although the clown level was a bit too strange for my tastes.

That was awkward to watch, and I can't imagine watching the game-play itself will be much more entertaining. And what's up with the fricking Captain Obvious commentary? Why the **** does'nt she just shut the **** up?! >_<

Blood Money is also the only one that looks great by today's standards. The others haven't aged all that well.

I generally look to mechanics before graphics, now the Hitman series has been pretty consistent with theirs. Basically the same inventory, similar tactics across the games, and crappy AI.

Anonymous survey among 35 developers shows that Xbox 720 is the easiest to develop for; Wii U too complex.

Nintendo. Nintendo never changes.
