question: Is Avadon good?

I have no clue. The guy's been making these games for something like 20 years now and selling them at 25-26 dollars each. Enough so to support his family, at least currently. So they've got to be good to someone.

He has demos available.

Avadon is ok, but nothing really impressive about this game. I don't really understand all the enthouiasm there has been about the game. But for 6 euros, it's money well spent.

During my usual steam price checking, I found some indie games which can be interesting.
Post Mortem, Robin Hood ? The Legend of Sherwood and Grotesque Tactics 2 ? Dungeons and Donuts (Not released yet). How good are they? Well, I don't have time for other games at the moment but...

PS I thought a part of Robin Hood legend was written by Dumas pere but my childhood "common knowledge" was beaten by info on the net. :fdevil: It doesn't change the fact that the setting is familiar to me, though.

Robin Hood was an excellent little gem, kind of like Commandos mixed with The Lost Vikings.

With all those question marks I took Wombat for a spambot.

Lies! Desperados is the undisputed champion of the Commandos subgenre.

New beta client has Trade feature to trade games with other Steam users.

They have dedicated Trade forum for people to post what they need/offer:
http://forums.steamp...play.php?f=1189

I'm offering Robin Hood for any other similarly small game.

And for the record:

Does Steam Trading mean I can sell my used games?

No, only games that have been bought as a gift, and thus have never been played, can be traded. Once the Steam Gift is opened and added to your game library, you won’t be able to trade it again.

Yeah, that really isn't trading. It's gift exchanging.

Trading "used" Steam games would be really cool though. But then all of a sudden a lot less gamers are gonna buy new games, resulting into huge losses for Valve.

Gabe would have to take on a diet then.

On the other hand it would kill Origin faster than the slow spiral into oblivion it would normally have...

Unlimited Trading doesn't sound like a very good business move, though.

Quite the contrary. If done right, they could increase their revenue. But it's definitely a risky move and that's why Valve is afraid of going that way.

Like Valve hasn't taken risks before. If there's ever someone taking that extra leap, it's them.

You could collaborate with a group of people to rotate your games thus being able to play every game for the price of one. I don't see them going for this.

Honestly though, they might run into some technical challenges. Like, when you bought and downloaded a game, then sell it, it's not anymore in your games lists, but physically still on your hard disk. Unless the Steam client makes an auto-delete once the game gets removed from your list. But some "clever" people still could crack the client.

Sure, but we will see if Valve will allow to trade in games.

Of course Valve should take an extra fee for each transaction.

i imagine they would charge a small transaction fee OR allow trades, but you only get 1 trade every 3 months or something, to prevent people from doing it for every game.

either way though, it seems like something they dont have to do. but would be nice of them if they did

Well they should just introduce an auction house then. The highest bidder gets the license, Valve takes a certain fee. Also, the seller at least has to pass 6 months or so before he's able to sell the game.
