Well, hello there people. I've been having some trouble with avoiding killing any marines/guards during the embassy mission so I would like to ask anyone who knows his way around the mission to clarify something for me.

As things are, I am trying to get the Crime Buster Trophy while playing as a douchey, egocentric and violent piece of dang. It's understandable that in this specific mission I HAVE to play the goodie-two-shoes role in order to have the chance to reconcile with AP and get the reward.

So, I got into the embassy quietly and got past everyone without kills. I used flashbangs, EMPs, CQC and tranqs all the way. Only things I destroyed where the turrets since my char is not very stealthy and I don't care about alarms in this playthrough. I even took down everyone non-lethally while I was trying to protect Surkov.

So, after the end I get the following breakdown: It says I STORMED the embassy guns blazing and KILLED marines and guards. I mean, wtf!?! Unless EMPs count as kills or if some bug counts turret destruction as "kills" I am at a loss.

Could anyone clarify what might have gone wrong from experience? All help will be greatly appreciated.

Cheers people!

Did you go up to the front door and talk the guards into letting you go by? Or did you go around the side?

It's sorta tricky, that mission... you can't attack the Marines at all, not even non-lethally. And you have to walk through the front and announce yourself, like an honest American agent. If you had the Veteran background you have a Vet dialogue option which gets you past the guard, but I'm not sure about the other options.

Why, thank you so much. I suppose it has something to do with the fact that I sneaked past everybody, even the initial guards. I will try it again and see what results I get.

Thanks a lot. :x

I was playing an engineer and I simply used professional dialogue to bluff my way in.

The quest is buggy (with 1.0 atleast. Didn't play with 1.1 yet).

As in; it tells you did the opposite of what you did.
I murdered EVERYONE, and it said I was stealthy and peaceful. Oh well...

That's the story you put in your report, and none of the guards came forth to dispute it, did they?

Well, there you go.

What I want to know is does the bug like only effect what the news reports and such say, or does it effect other triggers as well. Like if I don't kill the marines will I be unable to reconcile with Alpha Protocol because the bugs causes it to think I did kill them?
