How does one boycott a game that isn't available to buy?

By either not buying the product when it becomes available, or punatively not buying other products by the company/companies involved, I'd guess.

Well, I am boycotting Alpha Protocol till it goes gold. Then I'll pre-order it again. THIS I SWEAR!

Personally I just advocate people buy what they want to buy because they think they'll enjoy it. Anything else (IMO) is madness.

That's a very deep question. I've got the feeling it's somehow related to "how can someone take a vow of abstinence without having a partner first?"

By refusing to buy the game when it comes out.

By refusing to buy the game when it comes out.

That is assuming that it does come out.

I've bought games somewhat in the vein of making a donation to an arts organization, games that I wasn't exceptionally eager to play, e.g. Temple of Elemental Evil, but whose devs I thought might do something interesting if their employer landed on its financial feet. I prefer to think of this as strategic purchasing rather than madness, but you may be right.

Of course. I figured that that went without saying.

Of course, you also figured that Dragon Age was destined to be vapourware.

If STALKER managed to get released after all its problems, then it's fair to say AP has quite a good chance of being released.
