SystemThe history of the Tech Files stretches back to the old BIS boards, then IPLY’s and finally at the Lair, where it has been kindly hosted for the last several years. As is the wont of the Internet, things change and it made sense to move it the Obsidian fora (full circle in one sense). It is the intent that this thread will serve as a resource for the community. The Tech Files include patches, utilities and software geared at gaming. As well, there are resources that are more OS specific to a PC environment. Though the resource is primarily MS focused, there are Mac and Linux resources available. The Tech Files includes items that range from Open-Source to Commercial in nature. All links have become a part of the resource by user recommendation. It is not the intent of The Tech Files to recommend or suggest software. As well, all links are provided ‘as-is.’ Though the accuracy of the links is hoped for, if you come across a dead-link or one that is no longer representative of the most recent version, do post! Obsidian neither endorses nor promotes any of these products. This thread is informational in nature and please be aware that you use any of these resources at your own risk. Due to many PMs/emails over the course of the last week, I have decided to move the Tech Files to Obsidian. This has not been an easy decision, as I most grateful to Mistress for allowing the Tech Files to be at home at the Lair for the last several years. And now the latest update ...
